The latest version of the Multi Blend™gravimetric blenderfrom TSM of Ireland,the TSM3000, can handle up to 12individual material components at anygiven time with total automaticcleaning between recipes. The unit canbe centrally located, supplying anynumber of machines. The use ofcentralized off-line blending to feedmultiple machines has many costadvantages, such as the elimination ofgravimetric blenders for each machine. Thereafter, individual material recipesare simply entered into the TSM centralblender control panel. When a machinerequests a material fill, the TSMblender prepares the required jobrecipe, mixes the material, beforeconveying it off to the respectivemachine. Finally, the blender’sautomatic self-cleaning feature isinitiated in anticipation of the next fillrequest or masterbatch change.
