Types  of  dogs    Over  the  years  Police  Dogs  Centre  Holland  became  the  leading  company  in  supplying  different  kinds  of  police  dogs.  Today  we  have  over  200  dogs  on  average  in  our  kennels.    The  dogs  are  divided  into:

• Detection  dogs  • Patrol  dogs  • Security  dogs

Our  detection  dogs  are  trained  to  detect  :

• Explosives  • Narcotics  • Humans  • Other  objects/material  with  odor

Patrol  dogs  we  train  and  sell  as  :

• Single  purpose  • Dual  purpose

Our  security  dogs  are  especially  trained  for  security  services  as  :

• Patrol  dogs  • Guard  dogs

Most  of  our  dogs  are  Belgian  Malinois,  German  shepherd,  Dutch  shepherd  or  Labradors.  On  request  we  deliver  also  different  breeds  of  dogs.

Facilities    Police  Dogs  Centre  Holland  has  4.500  m2  (40.500  sq.  ft.)  indoor  kennel  and  training  facilities.  If  we  include  the  facilities  in  the  Czech  Republic  and  USA,  our  total  kennel  and  training  facilities  is  600.000  m2  (5.400.000  sq.  ft.)  indoor  and  outdoor.    This  gives  us  many  possibilities  to  train  and  exercise  our  dogs  on  a  daily  basis.

Medical  facilities    The  main  facility  has  its  own  medical  department.  It  is  fully  equipped  including  an  X-‐ray  machine.  All  dogs  are  medically  checked  before  they  are  shipped  to  our  customers.  Health  certificates  and  X-‐rays  on  CD  are  issued  per  shipment.    Because  of  this  extensive  facility,  customers  can  bring  in  their  own  medical  staff  while  selecting  dogs  from  our  kennel.  All  medical  equipment  is  than  put  at  their  disposal  and  can  be  fully  used  for  all  kind  of  purposes.

Quarantine  facility    Our  quarantine  facility  can  hold  up  to  6  dogs.  If  necessary,  dogs  can  be  separated  for  a  period  of  time.

Lounge      While  selecting  dogs,  our  guests  can  use  our  lounge  for  all  kinds  of  entertainment.  It  holds  games,  internet,  bar  and  TV  –  Besides  that  this  facility  can  also  used  as  conference  room.

Kennel  and  Training  facilities    Police  Dogs  Centre  Holland  has  more  than  sufficient  kennel  and  training  facilities  as  can  be  seen  on  the  pictures  below.    In  total  we  train  our  dogs  in  11  indoor  facilities.  Our  outdoor  facilities  contain  car  parks  and  on  a  regular  basis  we  also  use  railway  stations  in  the  neighbourhood  to  train  our  dogs.

Kennel  facilities

 Kennels  The  Netherlands

In  the  main  facility  in  the  Netherlands  we  can  hold  up  to  120+  dogs.      Every  dog  has  its  own  kennel,  which  measures  about  4m2  (36  sq.  ft).  All  dog  kennels  are  cleaned  twice  a  day.      The  day  starts  at  7  a.m.  in  the  morning  with  a  ‘break’.  All  dogs  are  taken  out  to  the  outdoor  area  around  the  kennel  by  our  staff.  After  their  break,  each  dog  is  groomed  and  ready  for  training.    All  kennels  are  with  a  full  automatic  floor  heating  system  and  air  ventilation  system.  Water  is  supplied  to  the  dogs  also  automatically.

Training  facilities    Most  of  our  training  sessions  are  indoors.  We  have  11  buildings  /  rooms  in  which  dogs  are  trained  on  a  daily  basis  by  4  trainers.  Depending  of  the  level  of  the  dog,  green  or  fully  trained,  dogs  are  taken  to  the  room  or  building  to  start  the  training  program.    Detection  training  is  given  in  different  rooms.  This  means  the  dogs  are  trained  to  work  in  different  surroundings  inside  buildings  or  rooms.

Detection  of  narcotics  or  explosives  on  vehicles  is  part  of  our  training  program.  Dogs  indicate  the  material  by  taking  a  sit  position.      Patrol  work  training  contains  also  bite  work  training.  On  command  the  dogs  should  attack  a  fugitive  or  suspect.

On  a  regular  basis  our  dogs  are  trained  in  car  parks  in  the  area  of  our  kennel.  Most  of  time  these  car  parks  are  very  intensively  used.  This  way  our  dogs  ‘get  socialized’  at  the  same  time  while  trained  to  detect  for  example  explosives.

We  also  train  our  dogs  in  railway  stations  in  the  area.  This  way  the  dogs  get  also  used  to  different  scenarios.

Handler  training    Police  Dogs  Centre  Holland  also  provides  customers  with  handler  training  courses.  We  offer  this  service  at  our  facility  in  the  Netherlands  and  the  USA.      On  special  request  handler  training  courses  are  given  at  the  customers’  location.      Dog  handler  training  can  be  provided  for  :

Ø Detection  dogs  Ø Patrol  dogs  Ø Security  dogs

Handlers  training  courses  are  given  by  experienced  trainers.  Handlers  can  be  certified  after  following  these  courses.      When  courses  are  to  given  in  the  Netherlands  or  the  USA,  lodging  and  accommodation  is  possible  as  well.
