INTRODUCING THE NEW
STOCKHOLMCOLLECTION
ONE OF THE MANY SKILLED HANDS AND PASSIONATE MINDS BEHIND THE STOCKHOLM COLLECTION
Smart Craftsmanship is our take on quality furnishing: design in every detail, and the finest materials inside and out for ultimate comfort. The wear and tear of everyday life only make these pieces even more beautiful – before passing them onto the next generation. And finally, it wouldn’t be Smart Craftsmanship, if the price didn’t make you feel a bit clever.
INTRODUCING
THE NEW STOCKHOLM COLLECTION
EASY TO LOVE MATERIALS We chose to work with a wide variety of supple and strong materials for STOCKHOLM. They are materials that we’ve fallen in love with, and we know you will too. Materials that are tactile and easy, with just the right finish.
Take walnut, for instance. It is an elegant hardwood that is the epitome of strength and durability. And its rich, chocolate brown becomes deeper and more dynamic with every passing year. Or take full-grain leather, another favorite. It is a natural, soft material that retains markings like wrinkles and scars, making each hide completely individual. We also picked out bone china; strong and beautiful, it’s considered to be the finest of porcelain products.
Enjoy the materials by living with them and using them. These pieces will reflect
your character and life, before being passed onto the next generation.
Why create a new STOCKHOLM collection?
We need to constantly challenge ourselves in all areas of home furnishing. With this collection, we are proving that we can also challenge the high-street shops in terms of quality and design – and in price as well.
How does this collection differ from previous generations of STOCKHOLM?
It has been updated in terms of functionality, and is also broader, covering more areas of the home. The previous collection was more coordinated, whereas this one contains strong individual pieces that belong to the same family, but easily combine with the furniture you already have.
What aspects of the manufacturing process of STOCKHOLM ensure “Smart Craftsmanship”?
Attention to the details, and that “little extra” everywhere. The collection is also manufactured, packaged and transported in a way that gives customers the best value for their money, and therefore makes it more accessible than traditional crafts-manship. You could say that STOCKHOLM is quality furnishings with common sense. Do you have a favorite material in the collection?
The full-grain leather used for the sofa. For the combination of function, comfort and tactility.
And your favorite piece?
You don’t love one of your own kids more than the others...

shares his thoughts on the collection.
What was your main source of inspiration for the collection?
When we decided to work with walnut, it made me immediately think of furniture from the 50s and 60s. I looked quite a bit at those two decades, both in terms of design and in the way homes were decorated, and then compared that with how we live today. The ambition was to create a sustainable and timeless collection.
What are some examples of tactile or smart solutions that you discover after using the pieces?
The armrests on the dining chairs have an angle, so they fit perfectly under the table; it’s as if they’re being sucked in. The swivel function on the small chair makes sitting less static and much more comfortable. And the glass cabinet is designed to make the room visible through the piece, allowing beautiful wallpaper, for example, to become part of the cabinet.
Is there something distinctly Swedish or Scandinavian about STOCKHOLM?
Yes, I would probably describe STOCKHOLM as Scandinavian. I was born and raised in Sweden, and that has, of course, influenced my aesthetic. At the same time, there are also international influences mixed in. What are your favorite pieces?
It’s hard to choose, but probably the mid-size storage cabinet in green. I also love the bedside table, and the candleholders.
How do you envision STOCKHOLM being used in people’s homes?
I hope that people dare to explore new ways of decorating. The bedside table makes a great sideboard in the living room, perfect for storing remote controls. And the small chest of drawers can be used in the hallway, bedroom or living room. The swivel chair is also a great stand-alone piece in the bedroom.
What is the future for these pieces 20, 30 or 40 years from now?
My wish is that they are still being used every day, though they might change own-ers over the years. I see them being passed down from one generation to another, or maybe changing hands through auctions. A long, rich and eventful life – that’s my wish for STOCKHOLM.

How would you describe the collection?
Well made through and through – beautiful proportions, great comfort, clever, multiuse functions, and high-quality materials for durability.
What does the collection contain?
We focused on living, dining, and sleeping solutions, but the products are made as “crossover” pieces to fit many different spaces. One of the most unique things about STOCKHOLM, apart from the quality, is that this is a collection of strong individual products that also go very well together.
If STOCKHOLM were a person, what would be their most notable character traits?
It would be a person of contrast, in a positive sense. Sophisticated yet casual; passionate and detail oriented but a with surprisingly warm sense of humor. “Complete” may be a better word. You describe the materials used in STOCKHOLM as “tactile” – what does that word mean to you?
“Tactile” for me is something authentic that gives me a sense of comfort. That’s exactly the feeling I get when using or touching the full-grain leather, the soft velvet, the tufted and woven carpets, and of course the walnut, which is probably the most striking material in this collection.
What are your favorite pieces in the collection?
It’s hard to say, but probably the whole dining set: the table and chairs, with the
bone china plates and the mouth-blown glassware.
