A new technology • Making on farm / lab FEC monitoring easier
• Remote location, on-line diagnostic FEC system
• Helps you keep on top of parasite issues
Technology Breakthrough • Sample prepared on farm or in lab
• Removes the microscope & accumulates the eggs into one viewing area
• Enables digital capture of the sample image (remote location diagnostics)
• Allows images to be transferred, stored, audited etc

Eggs accumulate around the rod
An image is captured and eggs can be digitally “marked” and stored

Farmer Case Study 1 Ben Anthony & Diana Fairclough, Frowen, Whitland, W Wales • Since May 2014 -‐ over 60 samples completed successfully
• Would not go back to rouLne worming paNerns
• Minimal worming needed through the summer (good year for low burden’s). One group of lambs weren’t wormed unLl October (what was leQ)
• Using the kit they confirmed that they have resistance to MoxidecLn (CydecLn) – (suspicious year before. )
• Used Levamisole drench in the autumn and test showed this wormer worked at this Lme of year.
GroupFEC Pre Treatment Treated with
FEC Post Treatment
Whinnets Mob -‐ Jun 300
MOXIDECTIN (Cydectin) 150
Lambs on rape -‐ Nov 420
Levamisole (2 LV) 0
If fully effective – FEC should have dropped to
95% - this was only 50%!
