DESCRIPTION
The PebblePad workbook, an example of a Task, or activity-based, portfolio, is revolutionising teaching and learning. The ability to create and collate custom templates, combine context and activity, add to and edit even after the student has begun working, watch the work progress, and enable students to maintain ownership over the whole product is set to change how courses are delivered. The workbook provides an interface for the teacher to guide and scaffold student generated learning taking place within the student’s own personal learning space. This workshop will be conducted using a PebblePad workbook to facilitate the learning experience and demonstrate the features of the tool. Participants will have the opportunity to both work in and build a workbook and consider what workbooks might have to offer in their own contexts.TRANSCRIPT

Issues …..
• It is designed as a presentation tool
• The designer of the content loses ownership once the resource is copied
• Once copied it is a static resource – no further changes can made by the designer
…. and so Workbooks were created.
