Assembling the Quilt Units1. Referring to Diagram I, stitch 4 fussy-cut white/purple poppy border stripe squares, 2 orange poppy print 5-5/8" strips, and 1 orange poppy 11-3/4" strip together to make quilt center. Make 1.

2. Stitch Template A purple dot patch to orange poppy 2-1/2" square. Stitch Template A reversed (AR) patch to large black/purple poppy print 4-7/8" half-square-triangle. Stitch Template A/AR units together as shown (Diagram II) to make pieced triangle. Make 4.

3. Draw diagonal line on wrong side of white/purple poppy border 3-7/8" square. Referring to Diagram III-A, place marked square on black/purple poppy border 3-7/8" square, right sides together and raw edges aligned. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of line. Cut apart on marked line and press open to make pieced squares. Make 16.

4. Watching orientation, stitch 4 pieced squares and 1 black/purple poppy border stripe 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" rectangle together to make pieced strip (Diagram III-B). Make 4. Diagram III-B

5. Stitch black texture 6-1/2" x WOF strip and green texture 1-1/2" x WOF strip together to make strip set (Diagram IV). Cut 16 segments 2-1/2" wide from strip set. In same manner, sew large white/purple poppy print 5-1/2" strip and green texture 2-1/2" x WOF strip together and cut 32 segments 2-1/2" wide. Stitch black texture 4-1/2" x WOF strip and green texture 3-1/2" x WOF strip together and cut 16 segments 2-1/2" wide.

6. Referring to Diagram V, stitch segments together to make border block. Make 16. Stitch 4 border blocks together to make border strip, adding green texture 1-1/2" x 7-1/2" strips to either end as shown. Make 4.

Assembling the Quilt 7. Referring to Quilt Diagram, stitch pieced triangles to all sides of quilt center. Sew 2 pieced strips made in Step 4 to sides of quilt. Sew orange 3-1/2" square to each end of remaining pieced strips and stitch to top/bottom of quilt.

8. Stitch green texture 1-1/2" x 22-1/2" strips to sides of quilt. Sew 1-1/2" purple dot squares to ends of remaining green 22-1/2" strips and sew to top/bottom of quilt.

9. Sew white/purple poppy row 24-1/2" fussy-cut strips to sides of quilt, watching orientation. Stitch orange 5" squares to ends of remain-ing white/purple poppy row strips and sew to top/bottom of quilt.

10. Sew 2 border strips to sides of quilt, watching orientation. Stitch large black/purple poppy 7-1/2" squares to remaining border strips and stitch to top/bottom of quilt

Finishing the Quilt 11. Layer quilt top with batting and backing. Baste and quilt as desired. Bind with 1867-K2 black texture to �nish the quilt.
