Intro
- Thesis: Our main argument and answer to the questiono In forming a connection with a place, an individual is able to feel innately connected
to that environment and the people who are a part of it. Conversely, detachment
from a place will lead to an overarching sense of isolation for the individual.

and Lily (Jack) and Katherine Mansfields 1920s short story Miss Brill.
- Introduce our pointso These texts show we are able to create relationships with people of a similar place
due to a shared understanding and identity that is created, but without these ideas
one may lose their sense of belonging.
