New Course Offering for Spring 2017: Introduction to Aquatic Ecosystems BIOL 420/EVRN 420 (Topics: Intro to Aquatic Eco) Instructor: Dr. Amy Burgin ([email protected]) 3 credits, T/Th 2:30-3:45, 2023 Haworth Hall This course will introduce you to the wide variety and importance of aquatic ecosystems including lakes, streams and wetlands. The course work is targeted at students interested in understanding the fundamental scientific properties and functions of aquatic ecosystems. Class will be a combined lecture-lab format wherein we will spend ~30 min of focused lecture followed by in-class exercises designed to reinforce principles. This is an ideal starting point for students interested in taking upper level ecology or environmental science courses.
