Internship to Employment Program
Jacob’s Promise is offering students the opportunity to begin a career in behavior therapy and analysis. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the leading therapy for children with autism. With numbers at 1 in 59 children diagnosed with autism and rising, a career as a behavior analyst has longevity and promise.
At the conclusion of the internship, students will have the training and support needed to receive national certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Description The program will offer students the opportunity to:
• Work hands on with children with autism and other developmental disabilities• Receive the direct support of certified technicians and licensed behavior analysts• Complete a free 40-hour certification course• Receive experience needed to pass the RBT Competency Assessment and written RBT Exam• Receive free supervision from licensed professionals• Earn up to $25/hour after certification is received• Be hired as a Registered Behavior Technician at the completion of the program
