I’m a mechanical engineering student and
had an internship in systems. While on an
internal research and development project last
year, my tasks led me to learn HTML, CSS and
JavaScript, and I became interested in the software
side of my program. After going back to school,
I took any computer science courses I could fit
into my schedule. When I graduate in May, I will be
pursuing a full-time position as a software engineer.
Thanks to the support and encouragement of my
managers and team at General Dynamics, I was
able to gain interest in a completely different field
and ultimately change the course of my future as
an engineer.”
