The Internet of Things represents a major departure in the World Wide Web’s development. The (IoT) has become a powerful force for business transformation, and its disruptive impact will be felt across all industries and all areas of society. In 2015, 4.9 billion connected things are in use, up 30% from 2014. As a result, by the end of 2017, more than 20% of organizations will have digital security services devoted to protecting business initiatives using devices and services in IoT. And that number will reach 25 billion by 2020, according to Gartner. Cisco research indicates that approximately 50 billion devices will be connected through IOT by 2020. The potential economic impact of IoT will be $2.7 trillion to $6.2 trillion per year by 2025.
