I’m currently working flat out for my local business community byway of building them a web presence that gets noticed. I’ve beenmarketing with my local business publication since the middle of 2010and it’s growing at a steady pace. However, just lately, I’ve invested inor started testing some brand new software that is ideal for localbusiness rather than the world-wide sort that I normally deal in.
You see, it’s all very well getting involved with Internet marketing but itis very, very competitive and you have to fight for every penny you get.
In the local arena, however, you only need to put the knowledgeyou’ve learned from reading publications like this or from the expertsall around the Internet, into local trading and it’s pretty well instantprofits. Just as long as you market yourself properly and the local, normally offline traders understand what you’re offering, you can usethe software that’s available to enhance your powers of marketing andput yourself head and shoulders above any competitors. Thesecompetitors are normally nationwide and won’t even know about thetools, techniques and strategies that you’ll know. So read the reviewsinside this month’s issue of Internet Marketing Bugle, perform a littleresearch and fire away. Start working for your local businesses givingthem affordable rates and good customer service. After just a fewmonths, you’ll be raking it in and, what’s more, you’ll be doingsomething that you enjoy doing, so it won’t be like working.
If you can use the software that comes out in a way to help your locals, you’ll be onto a winner. Give it a try in 2011 and make it YOUR year!

Butlin's launches campaign to target busy mums
Butlin's launched a campaign on Christmas Eve that targets busy mums looking for a relaxing family break, a
month before the brand turns 75.
The campaign, created by Mother, features a 30 and 40-second TV ad that will run across national television,
supported by online activity and print ads placed in women’s magazines.
The ad shows Ludo the Dino, a fluffy green dinosaur, having fun with children and sharing experiences at
Butlin's, such as playing in the pool, rock climbing and walking on the beach.
The ad is set to a version of Kansas’s 'Dust in the Wind', newly recorded by the music artist Sança. In the ad,
the song appears to be played by Ludo the Dino. The ad ends with the Butlin’s tag line "Happy days".
The campaign breaks just ahead of the travel industry’s busiest booking period in January and aims to make
the brand appealing to returning and new customers together.
Jackie Martin, marketing director, Butlin's, said: "Families are working harder and for longer hours than ever.
This campaign will remind people that Butlin’s is the perfect place for them and their family to unwind, have a
great time together and leave with memories of happy days."
Butlin’s has invested £116m in its resorts since 2003. Earlier this month, direct holiday resort rival Pontin's
called in administrator KPMG to run the parks until a buyer is found.
FT names Apple's Steve Jobs as 'Person of the Year 2010'
The Financial Times has named Apple chief executive Steve Jobs its "Person of the Year 2010" following the
global success of the iPad.
A panel of senior FT editors declared Jobs their person of the year after recognising that more than two-thirds
of Apple's sales come from products that didn't exist eight years ago.
The chief executive is credited with having breathed life into new markets and sectors, including digital media
players, touchscreen smartphones and tablet computers.
The iPad's development and launch were the culmination of an approach that Jobs has spent his career
perfecting – and he pulled it off less than a year after a liver transplant that sidelined him for six months.
The FT, describing the launch of the iPad in April, wrote: "Speculation had been building in the tech world for
months about what was rumoured to be Apple’s latest ground-breaking product.
"A touch-screen computer without a keyboard, it might even rival the impact of the iPod, introduced in 2001,
and the iPhone, in 2007. In the event, the iPad that Mr Jobs carried on to the stage with him that day did not
disappoint."
Jobs joins an illustrious roster of previous FT people of the year, including US president Barack Obama, steel
magnate Lakshmi Mittal and president of the European Central Bank, Jean-Claude Trichet.
Earlier this month, Time magazine named its "Person of 2010" as internet entrepreneur Mark Zuckerberg, the
founder of Facebook.

A PlayStation Move poster has been banned by
the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA)
after complaints that it was offensive,
irresponsible and inappropriate for public
display.
The poster for the campaign showed a man in
three different poses and throwing punches,
appearing closer to the audience in each shot.
The final pose showed the man holding a
computer character in a headlock and raising
his arm, suggesting he was about to punch his
opponent in the face.
The text underneath read: "Move into the fight
£34.99 RRP! PlayStation move, the game is just the start…"
The ad received eight complaints that the imagery showed graphic violence, which could be seen as encouraging violent
behaviour and deeming it unsuitable for children.
Two of the complainants highlighted that the game player was white and the computer character being tackled was
black, and said the ad might be seen to condone racist violence.
Sony Computer Entertainment UK protested that the poster was supposed to advertise the controller, not the game.
Sony also said it had "taken steps to ensure that the images were not graphic" and that they did not target or feature
children within them.
However, the advertising watchdog upheld complaints that the images in the ad were likely to "condone or encourage
violent behaviour," which could cause serious offence to the viewing public and that it was unsuitable for children.
It did not accept the complaint that the images were depicting a racist attack. The ASA said that while the men featured
had "slightly different skin tones," the ad was unlikely to be seen as condoning racist violence.
The ad has been banned, and must not appear in its current form again.
Snow estimated to cost BA £40m
British Airways is believed to have suffered a loss of between £8m and £10m profit each day during the current bad
weather, according to reports.
City analysts have told The Daily Telegraph that BA had suffered a loss of £30m to £40m over the snow period.
BA operates around 550 flights in and out of Heathrow each day, but over the past four days of snow, flights have been
reduced to nearly a third of its regular schedule.

A spokesperson for BA said: "It is too early to say how much
this period of disruption will have cost. Our priority is to fly as
many customers as we can before Christmas. We will assess
how much revenue has been lost and what extra costs we
have paid out, in due course."
Andrew Mulholland, client services director at branding agency
Future Brand, to Marketing, said: "It may well be the case
that BA is losing millions, but in this instance they have done
a better job than during the ash cloud crisis. This time BA has
done the correct thing and taken the brave call to simply
cancel flights.
"British Airways has made it clear to consumers that the
problem is primarily due to BAA. It doesn’t excuse poor
customer service and a lot of people will feel upset with the
airline, which needs to keep its customers up to date through
digital communication.
"But from a brand perspective, this situation has been less
damaging to BA, though it still has a long way to go."
BA has been praised for keeping customers informed over this
period. Its mobile app, ba2go.com, has been named the best
among airlines at keeping passengers up to date via internet
specialists Volantis, according to recent research.
After having purchased some of this vendor’s products inthe past, and gotten good results, I was looking forward to
‘Miracle Traffic Bot’ very much indeed.
Sadly, it’s a miracle if you can get it to display ‘success’ after a session ofsubmitting your article, video or bookmark to any site at all. It fails more than itever succeeds, sometimes at the rate of nine failures out of ten.
I wrote to support where they gave me a link to an updated version of theprogram but that only enabled it to submit to two more book-marking sites.Disappointingly, one of those failed.
I have been spoiled by the fact that I have been using Rank Builder for manymonths which was superb, regularly updated but expensive to keep going eachmonth.
I found this program for $67.00 on-time payment and couldn’t believe my luck.
You get what you pay for but, after reading the sales page and watching the veryconvincing video, I purchased it. Right out of the box it didn’t have muchsuccess in submitting my content to any of the pre-programed sites.
I even changed my login details by opening accounts again but still no joy.
It’s back to Rank Builder, Content Buzz or even Traffic Geyser for me, I’m afraid.
Yes, you do pay a premium but at least these others work perfectly with a hugesuccess rate of submissions. Search for ‘Miracle Traffic Bot’ using Google tofind more details but I wouldn’t recommend buying it … better to manuallysubmit your videos, articles etc.. One out of ten.

Instant Article Wizard is a desktop tool that lets you enter a set of keywords toresearch. It then goes out to the web and collects research relating to thosekeywords that you can use in articles on that subject.
It makes it so easy to research topics and write articles that you can often write newarticles from scratch in minutes -- even if you know nothing about the subject when youstart!
Watch the video on the home page for a full understanding of how this simple, powerfulsoftware can help you: www.internettweet.com/iawiz.htm
- Instant Article Wizard 3.0
Superb SoftwareThat Changes All The
Rules Of ArticleCreation Plus Much,
Much More!
OK most of us realise that writing articles is a great way to get back-links to your websiteby producing a 500 word piece, for example, and then submitting it to article directories forthem to 'spread the word'.This is all very well but sometimes writing articles can be a bind as you just can't think of, ordon't know enough about, your subject to write something of quality about it.Also, you really need to be submitting five or six articles each month for your article marketingto become effective.
It's been proven to me that article marketing is the most important thing to do in any onlinebusiness as it really does bring traffic to your website and, indeed, improves your rankings asthe search engines see links that all point back to your sales pages. I have articles that Iwrote five years ago, still showing up on sites all over the Internet, and all with the linkspointing to a site where I still benefit from new subscribers joining my newsletter.Another situation I've been in recently, is that one of my customers has a slightly awkwardniche subject that he wants me to promote. I know pretty well nothing about the things that Ineed to write about in order to get his some customers. Yes, I ask him to supply someinformation but I can't keep bothering him by asking for article after article, that's what he'spaying ME for.So how do I research and find quality content to make up fresh articles very quickly and thatgives readable results without the nonsense that all article processing software turns out?I install 'Instant Article Wizard 3.0'. This latest version is absolutely amazing and really DOESgive you quality results that you can use in your article marketing or on your blog for everydayposts. What makes Instant Article Wizard 3.0 different from all that's gone before, you may ask?Well, firstly, it's from the makers of The Best Spinner' software which I use practically everyday. They have put some of the best and most useful features from that program into thisnew version of Instant Article Wizard. For those of you who don't know about The BestSpinner, let me just say that once you start using it regularly, you'll not use any other spinnersoftware ever, it's perfect for making unique content from existing content.Instant Article Wizard 3.0 will research your topic after you enter some keywords to get itgoing on it's way. It brings up hundreds of articles already in use on the Internet where youcan scroll through and take sentences from any article you choose.Because they're all based on your keywords or key-phrases, all the articles are appropriate toyour niche. The software makes it easy for you to select your sentences or paragraphs and automaticallystarts making your article for you in a separate window. It spell checks for you as well.Once you have enough text for one article, you can check it against Copyscape by pressingthe Copyscape button. Obviously, it shows up that your content is not unique. So you then press the synonyms button. You then tab through your text and simply selectalternative words to the ones highlightedthroughout.Once complete, press the Copyscape button oncemore to find that it passes your completed articleas unique. You can now automatically upload the article toyour blog or have it saved online in draft formatready to publish at a later time.If you want even more ideas, you can continue withyour research to find more articles to use the textfrom or, indeed, add research words that youKNOW need to be included in your piece which willthen be added to your list of article text. It worksvery fast, finding articles in just seconds flat.
Instant Article Wizard 3.0 (continued)
You can even visit the website that the original article comes from in each case so you can getideas for images or other content that you may not have thought of.If you're even stuck for ideas about keywords or simply can't even think of a niche to writeabout, then there is a 'Trends' button that will tell you all the latest trends, news andcomments being circulated on the Internet. You can either add this to your current project orstart a new one. There is also a 'Suggestions' button where you can type in words from you niche and it willsuggest additional keywords that you could use in your project. You can use these keywordsthen and there or export them to a CSV file for spreadsheet analysing or transferring toanother program. One feature allows you to adjust your key-phrase to something shorter and the program willadd the new results to your current project, clearly marking any existing articles that havebeen added to or if there are brand new articles added. It's fascinating to watch the InstantArticle Wizard do it's thing at lightning speed. You can experiment with it to your heart'scontent. It runs in a good number of languages and you can add sub topics if you’d like.Anyone serious enough about their business will want to invest in this wonderful new versionof the software. It's unlikely to be a one-offfee, more likely a monthly payment but themakers have released software before that ispay once, use forever but, at the time ofwriting, prices were not available. The Best Spinner IS the best spinner andInstant Article Wizard 3.0 is the best articlewriter, no doubt about that; the end resultsare top quality and totally readable. Eacharticle takes the average user around 15minutes to complete.By the time you read this, the full releasedversion will be available(www.instantarticlewizard.com) where itcomes highly recommended from me. Iimagine it'll be around $50-$60 dollars with amonthly or annual fee to keep it running, however, a one-off payment has been knownfrom this stable. Whatever it is, it's worth it ifyou make use of it and this is an absolute goldmine if you need to write articles ... and let'sface it, all Internet marketers SHOULD be using article marketing in their promotionalstrategies or they are simply leaving money on the table and losing traffic to their websites, big time.

I’m the world’s worst for not wanting to pay monthly for a product if I’m notsure it’s working for me or, indeed, if I don’t use it enough to benefit.Content Buzz, formerly Video Wildfire (which I gave a ‘highly recommended’score to when it first arrived), is one of those that you really don’t mind payingout for, it’s superb. It’s one of those submission programs whereby your content is uploaded, orlinks it, to bookmarking sites, video sites, RSS, Micro sites, socialbookmarking and so on.Content Buzz has greatly improved since the last time I used it, what withconstant improvements with the program and training, it's nowunrecognisable to the old days.
The main thing about Content Buzz over other programs designed to the same job, is that other peoplesubmit your links to bookmarking sites and not you, personally. This empowers the links many timesover as submitting your own is seen as unnatural and 'spammy' to the search engines. All these links submitted by others act as great testimonials or votes towards your sites and arefantastic for Back-linking strategies. When you first start to use Content Buzz, it's a little intimidating as there seems to be so much to learnin order to start using the program, plus there's an odd thing to do which is having a TSR app runningin the background while you're signed in to the program's control panel. It's tempting to stop the program running once it starts doing it's thing, with screens popping up,signing into your accounts and then leaving someone else's details, links etc..

However, this is the beauty of the program and where the 'magic' lays. This is because they will also bookmark YOUR links for you, once you have everything set up.Setting up is as automatic as you can get it for a program like this as you need to create accounts inall the places you need to send your videos, articles and links to.You can set up projects and have different accounts for them all or use the same accounts for differentprojects.I've tested the system over the 7 day trial where, once you see this working and after having gone tothe trouble of signing up to all the aforementioned places both semi automatically and totallymanually (some sites can only be joined manually for various reasons) you'll not want to close yourContent Buzz membership as it'll just all go to waste. It's over $60.00 per month to be in it so, if it's something you use for yourself or running campaigns foryour own customers, it's a very worthwhile investment. If, however, you only use it once in a while, you'll not want to be paying monthly fees as your credits aren't carried over for the following month ifyou don't use them. The credits are used by the amount of tasks completed in each campaign run.Any extra credits you purchase ARE carried over to the next month and so on.Content Buzz is the most powerful way I've seen to get your content out to the masses on the Internet. If you plan on using video, and you should be, in your marketing online, Content Buzz is the one touse, without doubt. I've used pretty well all of the submission tools available to mankind and this oneis clearly the best of them all.Although intimidating at first, give it some time to read through the PDFs and watch the instructionalvideos as they're very clear and, also, the wizards that guide you through each stage are right on targetwhere you can't really go wrong if you take the time to read each instruction and complete thesuggested tasks.I'm testing the whole system out with four customers and my own content with early signs being verypositive. Videos, links and feeds are showing up all over the place and much faster than anything elseI've tried.I'm now into the monthly payment part where I can charge my customers for performing tasks forthem which means I get my fee back easily each month.Highly recommended: http://www.internetmarketingbugle.com/content.htm
Christmas is over and I’m looking back at all my regular forums to see which sad basket has left amessage on Christmas day. Who, in their right mind would be posting a question or comment on amembers only forum on ‘the big day’?
Anyway, I’m joining more forums and membership sites lately as I need to know more about the variousniche subjects that I’m getting involved in. There’s nothing worse than trying to earn a living fromsomething you know absolutely nothing about. I’ve been leaving questions on all these sites, non-stop,over the last few days and I’m wondering when replies will start appearing.
The past three months has been riveting television here in the UK, what with Strictly Come Dancing,I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and X-Factor and all that. Just as soon as you’ve literally hadenough of it all, though, we get the Christmas specials of each programme which is a little disappointing.Too much of a good thing isn’t good for us, is it?
My email inbox calmed down a little over the Christmas eve, day and Boxing day where I onlyreceived ‘free gifts’ from those who appreciated my custom and would like to thank me for being asubscriber. Mind you, some of the free gifts were a bit dodgy with crap reports, money off old hatproducts and videos that seem to have been thrown together. Last year saw some quality freebies butthis time it’s been a little desperate to say the least.
I’m trying harder with my Internet Marketing in 2011, I’m going to join more monthly paymentschemes and stick with it longer to ensure I get good results. I’m a member of most of the guru’snewsletters and so can’t go far wrong. I join most things and then leave them after just a few months orso but never make any money so, this time I’m going to try harder and put more trust in the new shinyproducts that are offered to me.
During 2010 I must have spent quite a few thousand dollars on new products and services but none ofthem seemed to earn me any income to speak of. There were the few promising membership deals butI simply couldn’t manage them what with trying to do one thing and juggling it around to fit in with all theother things I had purchased. They all sound so good when I read the sales letters or view the videos.
Some of the top marketers come out with a product that fails immediately so I tend to think that I wasteda few hundred dollars on belonging to their service. However, it’s not long before I pluck up some moreenthusiasm and join their next membership scheme in the hope that, this time, it will work out for me.They promise it will so, I must take part to enjoy any success that may come my way.
I’ve got a feeling about 2011, it’s going to be good for me. Ah, some replies are coming my way, I see… about time, I posted these questions ages ago, right back on 25th December if I remember rightly.

Another classic from Alex Goad, yes, I know I keep going on about his products but the guy just hits thebutton pretty well every time he promotes a new product that he's invented or helped invent it which he'sdone with Mark Dulisseon this occasion. In it's simplest form, Dominating Video is a course on how to make short promotional videos and then marketthem using the various tools provided by the system and around 100 'how-to's' on getting the best from whicheverplatform you choose to promote your business or, indeed, the business of your customers. I am targeting localbusinesses and using their content or content I make for them, to put into the Dominating Video system. It worksvery well, I must say. There is actually so much content in this package that it's hard to take it all in at first.Don't panic, though.Whenever I get information overload with a high ticket item (around $400.00) I take it step by step, reading eachpart or viewing the videos carefully, updating the software supplied and generally keeping it all together. To get people hooked into Dominating video, the vendors gave away a free program that found users in any nichemarket and put them into your database in order that you can request them to join your channel on YouTube.com.With around 1000 people joining the system, it sold out pretty quickly. It will no doubt reopen in a few monthstime in order to replace any of the drop outs that invariably happen with any membership program. In Dominating video, you get the full version of Tube Fool, the software that builds your lists of subscribers for you(why hasn't anyone thought of this before, it's incredible?) and a tool that works on your website to submit videos
to Google, Bing and Yahoo! This 'Google Video Sitemap'plugin has been updatedseveral times since beingreleased and is also availablein a version that works withstatic HTML websites. There are video training
sessions for many different video editing platforms and regular webinars from experts all about producing, editingand marketing your business. These webinars are very comprehensive and are recorded for later viewing if youcan't make the live events.Selecting just one module brings up so much information, videos and tools to help you, it's quite staggering. Notall modules had all the components ready for us at first but they are updating the main website on a daily basis.I looked at the 'YouTube Blitz Marketing Mayhem' part where you'd have thought that opening a YouTube account, creating a channel and uploading some videos would be all there is to it but, no there's so much to learn and putinto action that you could quite easily spend the next week on it and not get fed up or run out of ideas. You're also supplied with ready-made videos that you can edit if you don't want to start from fresh.Alex Goad rarely fails to deliver on his larger projects and this one is my favourites of 2010 with it's outstandingcustomer support and tons of useful content, no monthly fees and amazing software all under one roof, so tospeak, you really can't expect much more.Does it work. Well, it's down to the user. Little is automated but then it's not meant to be, it's up to the purchaserto partake in the lessons, use the software, upload the produced videos and start marketing as guided in themanuals, videos and help-files.It's showing very promising results ranking wise and I've learned so much from this course already that it's beenworth the investment. If you really do use this content and, maybe, have customers to sell your services onto, Dominating Video is theperfect product. As mentioned, 'the doors are closed' as they say, on this product but, usually, products from Alex Goad re-opensome months down the line. It's well worth investing in this genuine, no hype or BS course if you're serious aboutmarketing video.Video is becoming more important than ever for Internet marketers, this is proven by the number of searchesmade on the YouTube website making it the second most popular search engine in the world, and the amount ofinterest that Bing, Yahoo! and Google are taking in brining us 'Video' results on the results pages of our searcheslately.Dominating Video is, therefore, a highly recommended product if you can get in. Watch out for it's re-launch byjoining the subscriber for information list. www.dominatingvideo.com
