Internet Culture

We considered this as a social group that we wanted to focus on in our production because technology and its power to bring people together through social networking and its importance in aiding communication. As it has brought people together, over time it has created a social group of people all connected through the powers of the internet.

Social mediaThe website Facebook was first launched in July 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and now has over 1 billion online users. This has a platform that allows for online group conversations, similar to that in the OIAG internet scenes of our production. Jimmy could use this as a communication tool to meet friends such as Jamie as it allows for them to speak whereas in real life it may have been impossible.

Social group

The social group of the internet has been created as it has interested a larger audience of people. Jimmy may use it as a group of relatable people because of his shy and awkward personality, which we see within the bedroom scenes
