Before you start

Minimum requirements for your computer

Internet Bank places the minimum demands on your computer equipment. Before you start to use it, make sure that your computer and its software correspond at least to the following configuration.

Security

Internet Bank is protected using the latest technology. The identity of the bank's pages is verified by the independent certification authority Symantec (previously VeriSign). By clicking on the Norton Secured logo you can easily check that you are logging into Internet Bank on the right page.

Access to Internet Bank with certificates is possible only after entering the identification number and password on a computer with an imported SSL certificate. You authorize all active operations performed in Internet Bank using the signature certificate.

The transfer of data over the internet is protected by encryption (SSL, 128 bit).

Parameters of certificates Length of the generated keys: 1024 bits Validity period of the certificates: 2 years

Important warning

Please pay increased attention to preserving the confidentiality of your passwords. Don’t give them to other people, not even family members. If you are worried that you will not remember them, note them down in such a way that only you will have access to your records.

Beware of fraudulent emails and web pages (phishing and pharming). GE Money Bank never asks for your confidential information, for example login to Internet Bank, by email.

Operating Internet Bank is very simple. All you need is a computer with internet access, and your accounts are available to you at any time, even from the comfort of your own home or office.

You aren’t limited by the opening hours. Internet Bank is open for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and without queues either.

You save money with Internet Bank. The charges for transactions are lower than at a branch.

Communication with the bank is secure. You confirm all active operations with your signature certificate.

Internet Bank in a Mobile allows you To check the balances on your accounts (current account, savings account, foreign currency or loan

accounts - Express loan, mortgage etc.). To have a detailed overview of the transactions on your accounts and payment orders, including

information about whether they have already been implemented. To plan out your personal budget, to look into future economies or to classify your income and outgoings

according to categories thanks to the unique tool GE Money Manager. To issue payment instructions in CZK or foreign currency. To send several payments at once using bulk payment. To configure, change or cancel

Before first login

What you have to do before first login to Internet Bank

First generate digital certificates The SSL certificate serves for access to Internet Bank. You confirm active operations in Internet Bank using the signature certificate. The certificates are not mutually substitutable. Generate the certificates via the internet application Registration Authority.

Procedure for generation of certificate

Type http://www.gemoney.cz into the internet browser and click the button INTERNET BANK, and in the new window click the link Registration Authority. If the window Client Verification appears, click the Cancel button.

Warning: If an empty window appears after you click the Cancel button, you probably do not have

the Java program installed on your computer. You can download the Java program from this link: http://www.java.com/en/.

The application will first ask you to install the Java applets from the company BSC Praha, spol. s r.o., which created the application. The Applets are essential for the correct functionality of the Internet Bank with certificates. In the displayed window select Always install software from the publisher BSC Praha, spol. s r. o., and then click on button Install.

Warning: If in the future, during login to the Registration Authority you see a screen Warning securing with publisher BSC Praha, spol. s r. o., tick the option Always install software from the publisher BSC

Praha, spol. s r. o., and then click the button Install.

The login page to the application Registration authority appears. Select the possibility Certificate generation (First login).

Enter the ID from your contract in the column ID (account number). In the column Password from secured envelope enter the password from the security envelope. Click the button Login.

Warning: Keep the security envelope with password. You will need it when you renew the certificates (they are valid for 2 years).

Now you have successfully logged into the application Registration Authority, and you can generate 2 digital certificates, SSL Certificate and Signature Certificate, which are essential for work with Internet Bank.

First generate the SSL Certificate. In the level menu select the item New Certificate. As the Type of Certificate, leave the pre-selected SSL Certificate. Then select its location. You can leave the pre-selected path C:\GE SSL certifikat.p12. If you generate the certificates on a computer at work you will probably not be allowed to use this location because you will not have permission for files in this location. So choose a different location of the

certificates, for example on a flash disk. In order to select another location for the certificate, click on the button Browse. If you select a location other than the pre-configured one, it is necessary to add the name of the file. Preferably as SSL_certifikat.p12. Then select the Security password of the certificate for the certificate you have generated, enter it again on the next line as Confirmation of password and click on button Continue.

Warning: If in the course of the generation of SSL certificates you leave the Registration Authority, close the internet browser or the computer "freezes", and you will no longer be able to log into the Registration

Authority again for security reasons. The access to the Registration Authority (without proof via SSL Certificate) is a one off, and after access it is automatically blocked. For its unblocking contact GE Money Bank Customer Service on the telephone line (+420) 224 443 636. (If you already have an SSL Certificate imported into your computer, you can log into the Registration Authority at any time later using this certificate. For logging in use the password from the security envelope which you received at the bank branch when setting up your Internet Bank)

Warning: The generation of SSL certificate can take tens of seconds.

For the successful completion of generation and saving of SSL certificate it is necessary once again to enter the Security password of the certificate which you selected for the given SSL certificate in the preceding step and click on button Save.

As confirmation of successful establishment you will see a new page.

Then in the left menu select the item New Certificate, and as the second of the certificates generate the Signature Certificate. The procedure is identical to that for the generation of the SSL Certificate, but in the option Type of Certificate you choose the possibility Signature Certificate. You should save this to the same place as the SSL Certificate. After the end of certificate generation, click on the button Logout in the upper right corner.

Warning: Always generate both certificates during the first visit. The access to the Registration Authority without the use of a certificate is a one off! If you already have an SSL certificate generated, you can use it

for access to the Registration Authority (the certificate proves your identity). You can find detailed instructions in

this manual in the part Certificate renewal.

Warning: If you cannot generate a certificate the first time (in the course of generation of the certificates you leave the Registration Authority, you close the internet browser or your computer freezes), contact the

service GE Money Bank on the telephone line (+420) 224 443 636 for the unblocking of the access password.

Import of SSL Certificate into the browser in your computer

In the internet browser select Tools – Internet options – Content, button Certificates.

The certificate manager opens.

Click the button Import. The home page Certificate Import Wizard will appear. Click the button Next. In the next window select the path for the location of the SSL Certificate. Click the button Continue.

The window which you use to specify the path to the certificate appears. In the option Search area select the place where you saved the SSL Certificate SSL (e.g., C:\), in the lower part of the window in the option Files of type select the possibility All files (*.*).

Double click SSL Certificate. In this way you will automatically return to the Import Certificate Guide. The path to the certificate will appear in the column Name of file. To continue click on the button Next. Enter the Password (the password which you yourself chose when generating the SSL Certificate) and click on the button Next.

Then click the button Next again and the button Finish.

Then confirm the announcement Import successfully performed by clicking on the button OK. Your SSL Certificate will appear in the list of certificates.

Then all you have to do is click on buttons Close and OK and then close all the windows of the internet browser.

Now you can use the passive services of Internet Bank, such as checking bank balances. In order to use active operations, such as issuing a payment order, it is also necessary to register the signature certificate in your Internet Bank.

Warning: Do not import Signature certificate into the browser!

Warning: After the first login to the Internet Bank it is necessary to restart MS Internet Explorer. Close all

the windows of your internet browser and then open it again.

Quick start

First login to Internet Bank

Login to Internet Bank is very simple.

1st step

Prepare the documents which you received at the branch, the contract containing your identification number (ID) and envelope with password.

2nd step

In the internet browser enter the address www.gemoney.cz. You will find the actual login to Internet Bank in the right part of the screen in the main navigation, the orange button INTERNET BANK.

The login page will appear in a new window.

3rd step

Enter your identification number (ID) and password and click on the button Login.

4th step

On the screen Client verification select the certificate which you wish to use and click the button OK.

Information: We recommend that you change your password after first login.

Warning: Do not use your internet browser’s navigation buttons such as Back, Forwards or

Refresh, or you will be logged out from Internet Bank for security reasons.

Registration of signature certificate

If you want to perform active operations in your Internet Bank, such as the issue of payment instructions, it is necessary to register your signature certificate immediately after login. In the left menu select the item Personal settings and select the possibility Signature certificate.

In the part Registration of signature certificate click on link Browse. In the column Area of search select the location of the Signature Certificate on your computer.

Double click the Signature Certificate. The path to the certificate will be copied into the field Enter location of certificate. Then fill in the Security password for signature certificate which you selected for it during its generation and click the button Register.

The following screen will confirm for you that the registration of the Signature Certificate was successful. During each further login to the Internet Bank you will no longer need to generate any certificates, and you can use all the services which Internet Bank offers.

How to issue a payment instruction

Do you need to settle a postal order or issue a payment instruction? Use your Internet Bank.

1st step

In the tab Accounts and transactions in the left menu select the item New payment order. A page with a form for issuing a payment instruction will appear.

2nd step

Fill in all the necessary payment data (recipient's account number, amount, payment date). Fill in any optional data - such as variable, specific or constant symbol – and click the button Continue.

3rd step

On the next page check that you have entered all the data correctly. If everything is alright, it is necessary to authorize your requirement with a signature certificate. In the column Path to signature certificate you have the location already filled in from the settings Registration of signature certificate. If you log in from another computer, or you have changed the location of the signature certificate, click the button Browse. In the column Where to search select the location of the signature certificate on your computer. Double click the signature certificate. The path to the certificate will be copied into the field Enter location of certificate.

Then fill in the Security password for signature certificate which you selected for it during its generation and click the button Send.

4th step

A page with confirmation of the sending of the payment instruction is displayed. In the Overview of payment instructions you can check your payment again.

GE Money Manager

Keep your money under control

Does it happen to you too? You just can't work out where all the money has gone again? Do bank statements seem unclear to you? We present to you the service GE Money Manager, which will give you a perfectly clear overview of your finances.

GE Money Manager is a set of several useful tools allowing you to keep an eye on your income and outgoings broken down into categories or to look into your future savings. And all information is also displayed in clear graphs and tables.

History of balances

Are you interested in how the balances developed on your current and deposit accounts? The balance history is a tool which you can use to monitor the development of balances on your accounts for up to a year in the past in a clear table and graph. You yourself can decide for which of your deposit accounts you want to display the sum of balances in a column graph.

Where will you find the balance history?

In the left menu select the item GE Money Manager and select the possibility Balance history.

Category of transactions

Would you like to know which items represent the greatest burden for your family budget or are the greatest source of your income? GE Money Manager will make it clear for you.

You can classify incoming and outgoing payments on your account or credit card according to predefined categories or categories which you yourself define, such as wages, rent, electricity or holiday.

Then you need only monitor their current state on pie graphs. In addition to these graphs with categories, on the page Overview of transactions you can also find a graph displaying the incomes and outgoings for a period which you choose.

How to configure the category of transactions?

There are several ways to configure the transaction categories. You can assign them manually, for example when assigning payments, or automatically using the configured rules. You can find more detailed information about the way of configuring categories in the Virtual guide to Internet Bank.

Personal budget

Are you interested in how the balance on your account will develop? Using the services of GE Money Manager you can assemble your own personal budget.

Enter your regular monthly income and outgoings. Fill in the income and outgoings which you are planning over the year and your initial balance. In a clear graph and table you will see the probable development of your finances over the next 12 months. The personal budget will remain saved automatically and you can return to it at any time.

In the left menu select the item GE Money Manager, choose the possibility Personal budget and fill in the data according to the onscreen instructions.

Personal settings

Configure Internet Bank according to your needs

The tab Personal settings lets you adapt Internet Bank to your own needs. Here you can change some settings (for example means of login), make changes (for example, password or contact data) or configure additional services (for example, text message and E-mail Service).

Change of password

Do you know when and how often you should change the password to your Internet Bank? For security reasons we recommend that you change the password which you received from us upon the signature of the contract immediately after the first login. Then change your password regularly, preferably once a month. Change your password immediately if you have even the slightest suspicion that an unauthorized person knows it.

How to change a password?

In the left menu select the item Personal settings and select the possibility Change password and channels administration.

Change of contact address

Have you moved and changed only your contact address, do you want to merge the contact address for all products which you have from us? Change the contact address simply via Internet Bank.

How to change the contact address?

In the left menu select the item Personal settings and select the possibility Contact information.

eStatements

Who you like to be more considerate to our forests? Would you like to do away with excess paper? Configure electronic statement in your Internet Bank. This is a fully valid alternative to the paper statement which we currently send to your letter box or which you pick up in person at your branch. Moreover, you will get it faster than a printed statement. It is at your disposal anytime and from anywhere in the formats pdf, txt or xml, and you can save it to your computer or even print it out.

How to configure eStatement?

In the left menu select the item Personal settings and select the possibility Statements preferences.

SMS and E-mail Servis

Do you want to keep an eye on your account and card? In Internet Bank configure the service SMS and E-mail Servis. We can send a message to your email address or mobile telephone:

In the left menu select the item Personal settings, select the possibility SMS and E-mail Servis, and using the tick boxes select the information you want to receive.

Templates of payments

Do you issue many payment orders repeatedly? Set them up as templates and have them ready for future use. In this way you will make the specification of payment operations easier. You will not have to write out all the particulars repeatedly. You can change the data given in the template even during its use if, for example, the transferred amount or variable symbol will differ for the individual payments.

How to generate a template?

There are several ways of creating a template. All you have to do is add the name of a template when you are issuing a payment order or standing order, and the template is ready for further use. Or in the left menu select the item Personal settings, select the possibility Payment templates and click on New template.

Certificate renewal

Each certificate is valid for two years. Before validity expires it is necessary to renew the SSL and signature certificate. Thirty days before your certificates expire, we will inform you after login to Internet Bank that it is necessary to renew the validity of your certificates. After they expire they cannot be renewed, and it is necessary to generate completely new certificates.

Type http://www.gemoney.cz into the internet browser and click the button INTERNET BANK, and in the new window click the link Registration Authority. Client verification will appear, where you select from the list the certificate you want to use and then click OK.

Warning: If your certificate’s validity has already expired, it is necessary to generate a new one.

Contact the GE Money Bank customer service on the telephone line (+420) 224 443 636 and ask for unblocking of access to the Registration Authority, delete your certificates from the disk, delete the SSL certificate from your browser and then generate new certificates.

After the login page for the Registration authority loads, for certificate renewal it is necessary to select the item Certificate renewal (Entry with a certificate).

In the column Signature Certificate enter the path to your still valid Signature Certificate. In the items Security password for selected certificate enter the password which you selected during the generation of certificates (you also use this password to sign transactions). The last item which must be filled in is the Password from the security envelope which you received at the branch of GE Money Bank, then click the button Login.

Warning: If you no longer have the envelope with security password, please contact the branch of GE Money Bank.

In the left menu select tab My certificates. A page with list of your certificates will be displayed. Select the certificate you wish to renew. In the column Security password of certificate enter the password which you selected during its generation and then click on the button Renew validity.

On the following page select the location of the certificate and password for the new certificate. Click the button Browse and select the Location of renewed certificate. Preferably the same one where the original certificate was located (for example C:\). Then in the column Security password of certificate enter the password for the renewed certificate, confirm its entry in the column Confirm password and click on the button Continue.

For the completion of the certificate renewal process it is necessary once again to enter the Security password of the certificate which you selected for the renewed certificate in the preceding step and click the button Save.

After certificate renewal it is necessary to import the certificate to the browser and then register the new signature certificate in Internet Bank in the same way as during the generation of a new SSL certificate.

Most frequent questions and answers

How do I discover if a transaction I specified has been performed?

Via the Overview of transactions you can monitor the state of instructions which you have issued. After a payment instruction is sent, the state of the requirement Sent is shown. As soon as the payment is received in the banking system, the balances on your accounts are automatically updated, and the status of the payment instruction changes to Performed.

How on my computer can I discover the type and version of the operating system and internet browser?

You can discover the type and version of the operating system for example by clicking on This computer – Control panels– System. You can find out the version of Internet Explorer by going to the bar and clicking on Help – About application Internet Explorer.

Can I use Internet Bank from several computers?

Yes. But for successful login you have to import your SSL certificate, and for performing active operations, you have to have your signature certificate saved on a flash disk or other media.

Yes. But for successful login you have to import your SSL certificate, and for performing active operations you have to have your signature certificate saved on a flash disk or other media. But we do not recommend the import of certificates to public computers! .Please adhere strictly to the Rules of safe use of Internet Bank.

What do I have to do before first login to Internet Bank with certificate?

For the use of Internet Bank with certificate one must first generate two digital certificates (an SSL and signature one) and import the SSL certificate to the internet browser. .Detailed procedure for generation and installation of certificates.

What are the particulars of the password?

In Internet Bank you will meet the following types of passwords:

password to Internet Bank – must have 8–16 characters and comply with the following conditions: the password contains at least one small letter, at least one capital letter and at least one number (for example Banka2005). No characters other than the following are permitted:

password for Registration authority – is given in the security envelope which you got after the signature of the contract at the branch. The password cannot be changed. The valid SSL certificate serves for the next and further access to the registration authority (for example when the certificate is renewed).

password for digital certificates – the client has two digital certificates (SSL and signature one). The password must comply with the same criteria as the password for login to Internet Bank. The password for the certificates cannot be changed, but it is possible to generate a new certificate with new password and then terminate the validity of the old one. Caution! It is always necessary at first to generate a new certificate and only then terminate the validity of the old one!

What to do if

I cannot log into Internet Bank

Make sure you are entering the correct login data and that your computer does not have CapsLock on. After three invalid attempts to log in, access to Internet Bank is blocked for security reasons. For its unblocking please contact GE Money Bank Customer Service on the telephone line (+420) 224 443 636. Or you can visit any branch GE Money Bank. Another reason may be that during the renewal of the validity of the SSL certificate you did not import your renewed SSL certificate to the browser and now you are trying to log in via an invalid SSL certificate. Detailed procedure for renewal and import of certificates.

If from your computer you use several accounts with certificates kept at GE Money Bank, check that you have selected the certificate for the correct account. If the window Client verification does not appear at all after entering the login data (ID and password), close all Internet Explorer windows and try to log in again.

Access to Internet Bank was refused

You do not have an imported SSL certificate on your browser, or you have not restarted the computer after its import. If you have not imported an SSL certificate at all, it is necessary to import this certificate. Detailed procedure for renewal and import of certificates.

I cannot log in to the Registration authority

The password from the security envelope can only be used once for successful login to the registration authority with SSL certificate. For unblocking the password contact GE Money Bank Customer Service on the telephone line (+420) 224 443 636.

The specified amount exceeds the permitted limit

Sending payment instructions is restricted to the daily limit for security reasons. The permitted limit differs individual according to the client or method of securing which is used for access to Internet Bank. You can find the level of your limit in your Internet Banka (Personal settings / Change password and channels administration).

An error occurred on the page / the security applet could not be initialized

For correct functioning of Internet Bank with certificate it is necessary to have the current version of Java Oracle installed on your computer. You can discover which version of Java you have by clicking Tools – Internet possibilities – Detail in Internet Explorer. If you have two Javas installed, it is necessary to have only one switched on. If both possibilities are checked, it will not be possible to register a signature certificate and send money.

The picture cannot be displayed

This error announcement is displayed if you log in via an invalid or damaged SSL certificate. Sometimes a certificate is damaged only in your browser and it will be necessary to remove it from the certificate administrator via the item Tools – Internet possibilities – Content – Certificates. Mark the certificate using the left button, in the lower part select Remove and then confirm the following message. Then it is necessary to re-import a valid SSL certificate.

If this procedure does not help, this error announcement is evidently caused by an invalid SSL certificate, and it will be necessary to generate the certificate again in the Registration authority. Detailed procedure for generation of new certificate.

Revocation of certificates

In case of loss or destruction of the certificate, and especially if you suspect that someone could get a copy of your certificate, the certificate is immediately invalidate in registration authority and generate a new certificate.
