American or International Student in Bangladesh!
When I was in Bangladesh, I volunteered with a non-profit organization that worked with villagers on AIDS education projects. My job was to write a progress report in English for a funding agency. I interviewed villagers in Bengali and wrote up my results in the report; my colleagues also wrote some of the report, too. International Student in the USA!
My first team project in the US was with 3 Americans—we studied airflow rates in buildings. In just 3 weeks, we had to develop a project timeline, establish a model, and then give the resulting airflow rates in different conditions. During this project, I not only learned about airflow rates and how to use my programming skills in new ways, I also learned a lot about American styles of working.!
