Our residentials / apartments / condominiums with 24 hours security are located close to campus with ease of public transport. Shuttle buses are also provided by some of our campuses. Private Residences

For off-campus or on-campus residences, you can get different types of residences to suite your budget and lifetyle, such as university dormitories, apartments, or in a private residences. Many of these places are also located within a walking distance or by public transport, thus students can conviniently get to the universitycampus in just a short span of time. The International Student Services will provide the support the students need on issues concerning residences. A number of option are available:

On campus residence is available at all branch campuses of UniKL. It is very cheap to stay on campus, however all university housing are on quad sharing basis. If you prefer to stay on campus, please indicate in the UniKL acceptance form which will be send together with offer letter.

Students can also choose to live off campus. The International Students Services will assist students to find suitable private residences nearby the campus.

Applying Student Visa Approval Letter (VAL)

Upon receiving the Initial Enrollment Fee & Acceptance Form, UniKL will apply for Visa Approval Letter (VAL) to Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS). VAL procedure takes minimum of 9 weeks to process. You can check on your own for VAL application status at: http://educationmalaysia.gov.my/index.php/emgs/application/searchForm/

Pre-arrival ArrangementsYou are required to enter Malaysia minimum 10 days prior to registration

UniKL provides a free airport pick-up service to international students arriving to commence their studies at UniKL with a valid student Pass.

Preparation of documents needed during registration. Students are advised to bring the original version offer letter, passport, academic transcript, syllabus of each subject and any documents include in the application

Application for Credit TransferIf you have a Diploma or a Degree in a related field, you are eligible to apply for a credit transfer. You are reminded to bring the original transcript or examination slip of every semester and a copy of subject outlines /syllabus. Without the ORIGINAL documents the CREDIT TRANSFER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. Maximum credit that can be transferred is 30% of the overall credits of the programme (estimation of about 30 to 60 credits or 1 year equivalent). If your application has been approved, your studies will be shorten from the duration written in the offer letter.

Registration DayThe student must report to UniKL Campus Lifestyle Division (CLD), located on the 3rd floor of UniKL City Campus where they are given the following forms: Insurance Form Medical Health Report Form

You will be required to attend an induction Programme at your campus. Attendance is COMPULSORY.

InternationalStudent Gateway

Post-arrival ArrangementsUpon arrival at KLIA / KLIA 2 Airport, it is very important that you are at the right immigration counter, where the UniKL representative will attend to you. Do not leave the airport with any individual unless he/she is a representative nominated by Universiti Kuala Lumpur with appropriate identification.

To complete this registration, you are required to undergo a medical screening at the panel clinic in Malaysia within seven days upon arrival.
