Page 2: International Scenario of the World

We are going to present the international scenario of the world in which we will present all the scenarios during 1947 to 2016 and the super powers during each scenario. The scenarios are:• Uni Polar Scenario• Bi Polar Scenario• Multi polar Scenario

INTRODUCTION

Page 3: International Scenario of the World

A Country or State is said to be super power if it is stable• Economically• Socially• Advance in techonology• Advance in nuclear progam• Able to assist Banana Republic• Have political influence

WHAT IS SUPER POWER?

Page 4: International Scenario of the World

As we are starting from 1947 so at that time unipolar changed to bipolar because world war II ended recently and British lose their powers during second world war because:• Economic Decline• Loss of military influence• Loss of land control

WHY CHANGED FROM UNI POLAR TO BI POLAR?

Page 5: International Scenario of the World

• The Soviet Union emerged with the largest land army after many European losses.

USSR• It emerged from the war as the

worlds leading economic power. • Their economy had grown during

the war as they had supplied ships and weapons to the allies.

USA

WHY THEY BECAME SUPER POWERS?

Page 6: International Scenario of the World

• At that time there came bipolar because there were existing two super powers in the world one is USA and other is USSR(Soviet Union).

• At that time there was cold war era.• Cold is a war without weapons or the war of idealogy both

states have different ideologies, different objectives, and they have different countries aligned with them so the cold war began.

WHY BIPOLAR

Page 7: International Scenario of the World

Communism: • Private ownership means of production

(business and property) is not allowed. • Karl Marx developed this theory that

private ownership of business meant that the rich would seek to maximize profits at the expense of workers creating an elite.

• He argued that means of production should be owned in common to create an equal society.

USSR

Captalism: • This a democratic system.• It means that there is a division

between people who own businesses and make profit and those who work for them.

USA

IDEOLOGY

Page 8: International Scenario of the World

• To implement communism.• To sign WARSAW pact.• Objectives of WARSAW:• Prompt the attack on the west.• Cutting NATO in half to north and

south.• Destroy all remaining NATO

forces.• Seize all possible territory.

USSR• To implement capitalism.• To sign NATO pact.• Objectives of NATO(North Atlantic

Treat Organization):• Military Alliance• Principle of collective security

whereby on attack on any member state would be considered as attack on all of them and met with armed forces.

• To keep Russians out, Germans down and Americans in.

USA

OBJECTIVES

Page 9: International Scenario of the World

• Albania• Bulgaria• East Germany• Hungary• Poland• Romania

USSR• Belgium• Canada• Denmark• France• Italy• Island• United Kingdon• Norway• Netherland• Portugal

USA

ALLIANCED COUNTRIES

Page 10: International Scenario of the World

• Definition: It is a group of states which are not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. Some non aligned countries are:• Egypt• South Africa • Panama• Afghanistan• Bangladesh

NON ALIGNED MOVEMENT

• Iran• Iraq• India• Pakistan• UAE• Yemen• Sri Lanka• Saudia Arabia

Page 11: International Scenario of the World

• Pakistan became non aligned country in 1979.• Before that Pakistan was member of two organizations.• After the war of 1965 and debacle of east Pakistan in 1971

Pakistan get rid of both the organizations • Because organizations didn’t help Pakistan during both the

wars.• Then Pakistan joined NAM in 1979.

WHY PAKISTAN JOINED NAM

Page 12: International Scenario of the World

• In 1991 there was change in scenario of the world.• There came the Unipolar Scenario from Bipolar scenario.• Now the USSR is converted to Russia. • The USA was remained as super power in the world.• The USA alone remained the super power till 2001.

CHANGE IN SCENARIO

Page 13: International Scenario of the World

• Economic Policies failed because of failure to respond timely to continues changes.

• 10 Republics declared their independence largely out of another coup.

• USSR was overly focused on military build up.• Neglect domestic troubles.• Friendly relations with U.S in 70’s , 80’s mean that the

general public was no longer completely motivated to strengthen itself against American threat.

WHY USSR LOST SUPER POWERS

Page 14: International Scenario of the World

• Then in 2001 the scenario of the world changed from unipolar to multipolar.

• There is a race of emerging super powers and the countries declared themselves as superpower are:

• USA• INDIA• IRAN• JAPAN • CHINA• RUSSIA

MULTIPOLAR SCENARIO

• UK

• GERMANY

Page 15: International Scenario of the World

• There was a bad effect of 9/11 on America.• Because they have unstability in politics.• Started the war in Afghanistan.• The have the threat of terrorism.• They had economic decline due to war of Afghanistan.

WHY CHANGED FROM UNIPOLAR TO MULTIPOLAR?
