Current Research in Department of Rehabilitation.

�  (i) A randomized controlled study comparing the effect of standardized care plus conventional care only on the outcomes of stroke survivors and family caregivers in Harare and Chitungwiza. PhD study.

�  (ii)A pilot study to determine the prevalence of stroke at Chitungwiza, Harare, Parirenyatwa Central Hospital.

�  (iii)Exploring the barriers and facilitators of family involvement in reestablishment of participation in meaningful occupations by adults with substance use disorders in disadvantaged communities of Zimbabwe. PhD study.

�  (iv)Neurocognitive development of children 6 to 12 years in Zimbabwe and the impact of HIV PhD study.

�  (v)Challenges and quality of life of caregivers of HIV- infected children.

�  (vi)Functional status and its predictors among HIV infected adults on antiretroviral .

Professional Registration

�  Physiotherapy is a protected proffession. ¡  Health Professions Act (Chapter 27:19). ¡  Direct entry or via referal.

�  Registration ¡  Initial registration after graduating.

÷ Locals (US$) 55 and Foreigners (US$) 330 ÷ Struck off register if inactive for 2 yr and no CPD points

accumulated.

Professional Registration For Foreigners
