Undergraduate students: The vast majority of undergraduate students have the opportunity to study abroad.
Depending on your degree programme we offer a range of study abroad programmes to enable you to enhance your international experience at Nottingham. Some degree programmes include a compulsory year abroad, such as those in the Department of American and Canadian Studies, while many others offer the opportunity to apply to study abroad for one semester as part of a three-year programme, without extending your degree.
All students on a study abroad programme pay reduced tuition fees to Nottingham and no fees to the host university/campus. You may also be entitled to a scholarship or bursary.

Postgraduate students: The University of Nottingham’s overseas campuses offer PhD students the possibility to spend up to a year of their programme undertaking research in Malaysia or China, subject to their supervisor’s approval, through the inter-campus exchange programme.

Summer school information session Find out how you can study abroad during the holidays, with students who have done just that.
Global skills, global perspectives: go international in Nottingham with Marta Vizcaya Echano, International E-Information Officer, Careers and Employability Service.
This session will encourage students interested in gaining an international and intercultural perspective to explore the range of resources and services available here in Nottingham. The session will link these services to the support and resources offered by the Careers and Employability Service. Participants will be expected to reflect on their career interests and goals and develop an action plan.

Nottingham University Study Abroad and Exchange Society (NUSEX) Boat Party
The annual NUSEX Boat Party is back, and this year it’s going to be bigger and better than ever. For £20 per person (£24 for non-members), you will receive dinner (vegetarian option available) and access to a free bar for the duration of the Boat Party. There are only 150 tickets available. Tickets can be bought from the SU Box Office from Wednesday 14 November.
