Dear friends and colleagues,On behalf of organizing committee, I would like to welcome you to the 9th International Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC) Congress which will be held from 19 - 22 March, 2019 in Da Nang, the beautiful beach city in the middle of Vietnam.
This is the first time that Vietnam will host an APSIC Congress and we will do our best to make it a success. The scientific program of the 9th APSIC promises to be innovative and engaging, with a wide range of main and parallel session. The congress will facilitate opportunities for attendees to obtain and exchange up-to-date knowledge and information regarding Prevention & Control Infection, Patient Safety & Quality Improvement. We are expecting a large number of distinguished international and local guest speakers who will share their knowledge, experience and skills during this 4-days of the congress.
APSIC2019's highlights will include:
− Update on prevention and control of healthcare associated infections, especially device associated infections.− Management of emerging infectious diseases and outbreaks.− Antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship program.− Management of medical instruments and hospital environment.Please join us for the APSIC 2019 in Vietnam. PLEASE READ THIS THROUGHLY BEFORE PREPARING YOUR ABSTRACT1. Only abstracts written in English will be accepted.2. The abstract itself must contain no more than 250 words.Table and figures are not allowed.3. CAPITALIZE the entire title and UNDERLINE the name of author who will present the paper. Abbreviations must not be used in the title. After the title, list the author’s names and institutional affiliations; OMIT degrees, titles, institutional appointments, address and zip code. The text should be typed using single spacing. Do not indent the title and each paragraph.4. Abbreviations must be defined by placing them in parentheses after the full word the first time they appear. Use numerals to indicate numbers except when beginning sentences.5. Nonproprietary (generic) names, written in lower-case letters, are required the first time a drug is mentioned. Proprietary names are always capitalized.6. Abstract will appear exactly as submitted. Abstract with smudges, errors, misspellings, incorrect hyphenations, faint typing, etc. (or not conforming to the prescribed rules) will require retyping at the author’s expense.7. CHECK ONE KEY WORD in the abstract submission form, which best categorizes the subject of the abstract.8. The abstract will be considered and publish in the congress book after your registration has been complete.9. All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference e-abstract book. Only high-quality accepted abstract will be archived in the Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Control (ARIC).
