Invitation
Dear Collegue,
The organising committee feels extremely proud and privileged in extending a
hearty invitation to attend International Conference on Lead, Environment and
Health being organised by Department of Biochemistry, All India Institute of Medical
Sciences, Jodhpur under aegis of NRCLPI, InSLAR and AIIMS, Jodhpur on 26th Oct
2015 and 27th Oct 2015. Childhood lead exposure is estimated to contribute to
about 600 000 new cases of children developing intellectual disabilities every year
and is estimated to account for 143 000 deaths per year with the highest burden in
developing regions and hence the theme ‘protect every child from lead poisoning’
becomes much more relevant.
This conference will bring together experts from various fields for a common cause
at a platform where delegates will be enlightened by the experts about the area of
growing concern and their possible solutions. It is also an opportunity to alert
people working in the concerned area about its relevance and importance.
Jodhpur is a heritage city and feast of recreational activities comprising of folk
music, dance, food, art and handicraft. Jodhpur - the blue city, has always been a
seat of cultural heritage and learning from time immemorial. There is so much to
see, the majestic Mehrangarh fort, Ummed Bhawan museum and sand dunes of
Osian to name a few.
