Purposes of the study 1. Assess the effectiveness of using a training course for

community leaders in Lampang province, Thailand, applying the synectics technique, to enhance multimedia production skill for community strengthening.

2. Assess the effects of the training course in terms of enhancing creative thinking among community leaders.

3. Assess the community leader’s satisfaction with the training course.

Methodology

• Participants: 30 community leaders from Lukes’ village, Thailand. Of the participants, 36.66% were female; 63.33% were male.The participants were between 41 and 65 years of age.

• A 3-day training course.

• The effect of the training was evaluated by means and standard deviation tests and a questionnaire.

Data collection

1. Multimedia Skill Test: It was developed by examining related literature and expert views on the subject matter.

2. Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT-test) Forms A : These tests invite examinees to draw and give a title to their drawings (pictures) can be used for pre- and post testing. (Torrance, 1968)

3. Questionnaires: The items asked about the demographic information of the leader and their satisfaction with the process of leader training in the course.
