INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

“Data Intensive System Analysis for Geohazard Studies”

The conference is the fih one in a series of meengs previously held in Russia

(Suzdal 2007, Pereslavl-Zalessky 2009, Uglich 2011, Kaluga 2013). This series is devoted to

applicaon of systems analysis to geophysical observaons, data mining and geo-

informacs. в

Hazardous natural phenomena, as well as some man-made hazards, can be detected

by different techniques rounely used for monitoring the geophysical parameters. The

upcoming conference in Sochi will focus on implementaon of Systems Analysis

embracing a sophiscated data analysis and holisc Earth science approach in order to get

comprehensive informaon on the phenomena of different degrees of hazard and on the

mul-scale extremes.

We intend to discuss the topics related to observaons, detecon of and modeling

geophysical extremes; development, implementaon and maintenance of methods and

instruments for monitoring; evoluon of natural systems towards extreme condions;

assessment of global- and local-scale hazardous phenomena; challenges in data

processing and analysis using paern recognion, stascal and other methods relevant

to large data processing; applicaons of geo-databases and GIS.

Conference brings together research sciensts, observers, computer experts,

praconers, technical end-users and decision makers concerned with monitoring of the

Earth's environment, detecon of hazards, data analysis and modeling, vulnerability and

risk assessment. d d
