Safety Assessment Library
• Directory: Roadmap and access to safety assessment related technical information
– Organizes safety assessment technical references based on convenient directory (list of content) by easy recognizable topics (may be organized in several levels)
– Stores information (articles, data, technical papers, etc.) and provides links to relevant web sites and other information sources
International Atomic Energy Agency
Safety Assessment Forum
• Member States place to post information on their safety assessment programmes, projects and activities
– These spaces will be within the GNSSN
– Member States will be responsible for maintenance and content management – GSAN will provide a template explaining expected content and organization of information
• Space for topical discussions, questions and answers, and comments
– Controlled access via registration
– Topics to be identified by GSAN Advisory Group and to be coordinated by a volunteer from one of the participating Member States (organizations) e.g. Newcomer’s exchange
International Atomic Energy Agency
Safety Assessment Projects
• Space for collaboration on safety assessment projects by GSAN participating organizations– Projects can be proposed by any GSAN participant to be then agreed by
the GSAN Advisory Group
– Projects shall focus on furthering safety assessment knowledge, development and validation of methods and harmonization of approaches
– Projects may include mentoring or advising students working on safety assessment projects.
– Safety assessment relevant data bases are identified as special project
– Participation is voluntary but requires active contribution, no observers.
International Atomic Energy Agency
Safety Assessment Education and Training
• Network features supporting competency and capacity development in Member States– Curriculum: knowledge and skills requirements based on Safety
Standards
– Competency development advisory service: space for storing relevant information including review results and for organizing and providing the service
– Training materials: training materials in form of PP presentations, video lectures, e-learning systems, simulation and analytical tools.
– Workshops, seminars, etc: space for organizing training and skill building events, collaborating with participating institutions, on-line webinars, mentoring, archiving and informing Member States
