INTERNS

Half Javanese and Gorontalonese, Abid was born in Gorontalo 23 years ago. He lived

independently in Depok, where he graduated from Universitas Indonesia specializing

in Process Engineering. Abid’s passion in environmental management, inspired him to

come to Green School where he is an intern for KemBali, working as a project man-

ager. He hopes to continue the success of KemBali’s sustainable initiative. He believes

his time in Green School will be valuable in training him as a young Indonesian ecopre-

neur.

Rahma has a passion in energy and women empowerment. In 2013, she initiated a movement called Indonesia Cerdas, a movement that focuses in health and em-powerment of women and children in marginalized area, as well as environment. Rahma's dream is to start her own energy social enterprise, and for now she is available full-time in Biobus!

RAHMA NUR ADZHANI

Rika comes from North Sumatera, Indonesia. She is currently undergoing her final year study in University of Sumatera Utara, majored in communication science. She is really enthusias-tic in helping people and making positive impacts to the environment and community around her. She is interested to working with national or international NGO that focus on hu-manity, social, environment and development issues. Besides going to university, she also ac-tively involves in environmental organization and civic engagement activities as a volunteer, especially in educational field both in national and international level. She is recently at-tracted in learning enterpreneurship and products development.

RIKA HARAHAP

Born and raised in an open minded Sundanase family in Sukabumi, West Java, Rustaman is a persistent young man who loves reading, teaching, and cooking so much. At the age of 16 he moved to Pontianak, West Borneo, to pursue his dream in education. His passion for teach-ing started when he was in middle school, and inspired him to volunteer at American Corner as a teaching assistant in International Communication program for scholarship students from remote area, as well as a mentor in Community Development Tanjungpura University. Now he is a full intern in Kulkul Connection as a Bahasa Indonesia and English teacher.

RUSTAMAN ABDUL S

Passionate about civil society activism, Yogi believes Indonesia could become a great

nation by standing on the local wisdom and national character of its own. Growing up

in Solo, a city considered as one of Javanese's cultural center inspired his beliefs. Yogi is

determined to bring his belief into reality by encouraging a fair, humane, participative,

and national character-based development. Through his time in Green School, he

hopes to get a deeper understanding of Balinese culture as a part of the rich Indone-

sian culture and to connect globally with like-minded people within the community. He

is also passionate about music, movies and AC Milan.

YOGI ADITYA PUTRA

Saniy has lived in 6 cities around Indonesia, from Java to Kalimantan. All her life she as-

pires to inspire people. Saniy is a public relations graduate from Universitas Padjad-

jaran, Bandung, Indonesia, and wants her presence to be impactful to others. She’s

been actively involved in environmental activities since 2014 by working with a commu-

nity called Gerakan Indonesia Diet Kantong Plastik as an educator, where her passion

in environmental sustainability has grown ever since. Saniy is always open to learning

so she can both improve her skills and become a better person.

SANIY AMALIA PRISCILA

Ama was born and raised in South Borneo/ Kalimantan and is studying at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, East Java majoring in communication science and focusing on pub-lic relations. She loves to volunteer in any kind of events that are related to community devel-opment. She was volunteering with AIESEC before coming to Green School. Her objective is to increase awareness about health and also entrepreneurship to students from primary school until high school.

AMALIA DINI

Raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, Shafira recently completed her BA in Political Studies and

Sociology from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Her passions are sustainable devel-

opment, Southeast Asia, connecting with people, and of course, story-telling! Shafira’s

background growing up in multicultural societies has allowed her not only to grow

fonder of the unique culture of Indonesia but also to explore the beauty this world has

to offer.

Hengky Susilo just received his Bachelor in English Education Program of Palangka

Raya University. He has come from the heart of Borneo to learn at Green School. He

committed to get new experiences as much as he could and bring it back to the society

after he finishes his Intern Scholarship program. He is blessed to have Ransel Buku,

Green School and some inspiring people who supported him. For him, education is the

most important foundation to be built up in his home town and he wishes to create

better education for every child in the village too. He is a short story writer, likes to lis-

ten to music and travel a lot. One day, he also wishes to be able to get a scholarship

and to go abroad.
