Inwood Consulting EngineersHeadquarters | Oviedo, Florida

The Inwood Headquarters is located in Winter Springs, Florida. Inwood requested a flexible

office building that would be capable of growing with their business. Our solution was to design

a 30,000 SF, multi-tenant office building that is capable of transforming into a 45,000 SF single-

tenant headquarters. The photos shown here are the phase I office building. The lobby is offset

in order to provide open and contiguous office space in phase I. Phase II will be added to the

other side of the lobby in the future when Inwood is in need of additional space. The building

was designed so the tenant will not have to vacate the premises during phase II construction..

Hillsborough Community College Ybor City CampusStudent Services Building | Ybor City, Florida

The student services building is a 45,000 square foot, 4-story structure

that blends the historic character of Ybor City with sustainable design

features. Optimization of energy was paramount in the design, gaining six

points for LEED. The building orientation, high performance glass, sun-

shading devices and daylighting sensors aided in achieving enhanced energy

efficiency. Sustainable materials include wood door material harvested

from sustainable forests, recycled content carpet, and recycled content

aluminum curtainwall and sunscreening devices. Low flow plumbing fixtures

and water efficient landscaping were employed to reduce water usage.

Osceola Campus Building 4Valencia College | Kissimmee, Florida

This 151,000 SF, four story ground up project was conceived to blend with existing Osceola campus buildings but

move the college forward at the same time. The challenge was to incorporate flexible common area with smart

classrooms while incorporating current technology. The building incorporates several campus functions: Student

Academic Support, Library, Food Service, café, coffee bar, faculty and administrative offices, Class rooms, testing

rooms and Computer and Science Labs. The interiors promote areas for students to collaborate in formal,

informal and casual atmospheres with the use of flexible furniture and open plan. Valencia College’s building

and finish standards served as the basis of design, then supplemented to provide individual character while

maintaining green sustainable design goals for the newest campus addition.
