1. Written dimensions on these drawings have precedenceover scaled dimensions. Minor Design should be notified ofany variations from the dimensions, materials, conditions andcontract amount shown by these drawings prior to theexecution of any work.

2. All sign copy should be considered to be representativeand is subject to change. Refer to final approved messageschedule for final copy on all signs.

3. The Fabricator or Installer shall notify Minor Design of anydiscrepancies in these documents immediately and shall notproceed or allow sub-fabricators to work in those areas untilsaid discrepancies are resolved.

4. Fabricator is to submit shop drawings for all sign typesincluding fabrication details, foundation and installationspecifications, etc. sufficient to demonstrate the design intentof the drawings. Shop drawings shall be submitted to theOwner and Graphic Designer for approval prior to fabrication.

5. Fabricator shall conform to the intent of these drawingsand specifications and submit to the Graphic Designersamples for all finishes included in their scope of work beforecommencement of such work.

6. Fabricator shall be responsible for all required fees andpermits for the fabrication and installation of signs, and shallprocure these before proceeding with work.

7. Fabricator shall provide Grade 2 braille on all sign typesrequiring braille. This braille shall conform to ADA codes andregulations.

8. All work shall be done in accordance with all applicablecodes and to the highest standards of trade practice. All signcomponents are to be straight, square, and true to oneanother. All material joints and seams are to be fabricated sothat joints and seams are unnoticeable.

9. The Fabricator shall provide all engineering and stampeddrawings required for exterior signage, guaranteed for localconditions.

10. Prior to commencing any work, the Fabricator or Installerwho is awarded all or part of fabrication and/or installationshall review with the Owner, Architect and Minor Design thephasing of their work and secure approval from all parties.

GENERAL NOTES FOR FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION

11. All interior finish and trim materials are to meet Class IIIflame spread ratings of 76 to 200, as per applicable code.

12. The Fabricator shall warrant that all merchandise is freeof defects in material or workmanship and shall provideOwner with a warranty to replace or repair any merchandisethat fails to conform to above for a period of no less than one(1) year from date of final acceptance.

13. The Fabricator shall stake or mark all locations forapproval by owner. The fabricator shall coordinate locationverification with all underground facilities.

14. The Installer shall provide and install adequate blockingfor all wall hung and wall supported items except for thoseitems which are hung from items not in contract.

15. The Installer shall patch and repair all existing surfaces asrequired prior to applying new finishes. All openings, voids, orunfinished surfaces created by removal or alteration ofexisting work, shall be closed or patched and finished asnecessary to match existing continuous surfaces or newfinishes required.

16. All hangers, channels, rods and other misc. support steelshall be installed by the installer as necessary for the supportof suspended equipment (signage) and shall be fastened tothe existing structure in such a manner as to notcompromise its existing structural integrity or fire rating.

17. The Installer shall keep the site work area(s) clear ofunnecessary debris; and shall keep all work area(s) securedwhen unattended for the duration of the installation period.

18. The Fabricator shall provide removal, backfilling andproper disposal of existing signs at locations of new signs.

19. The Installer shall clean the site of all unnecessary debrisand clean all glass, chrome, and any other items beforevacating the site and final Owner sign-off.

20. The documents reflect our best efforts to interpret andapply standards established by the Americans withDisabilities Act of 1991 and as set forth by the OpportunitiesCommission and the Department of Justice. Minor Designwill not be held responsible for the interpretation of ADALaws by others.
