FIRM PROFILE

Polytech Associates Inc. is a woman-owned Architecture, Planning, and Interior Design firm based in San Francisco. We provide comprehensive and sustainable design services for Healthcare, Government, Institutional, Commercial and Sports facilities.

Our firm was established in 1986 and is based on a collaborative approach to practice in which our working Principals develop strategic partnerships with our clients in order to achieve the visions and goals of their projects.

We strive to understand the project from all perspectives, client, user, design team, and contractor.

This process begins by actively listening, identifying the unique goals, developing design criteria and establishing budget and schedule constraints. We remain deeply committed to providing our clients with a successful project from the design process through construction, project closeout and occupancy. The San Francisco Business Times ranks Polytech Associates among the Largest Architecture Firms in the Bay Area. Our Interiors Group is currently ranked nationally, as published in Interior Design’s Healthcare Giants.

235 PINE STREET, 17TH FLOORSAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

Polytech Associates is an architecture, planning, and interior design firm in San Francisco, CA. At the expiration of their lease in 2011, the firm’s leadership determined that a larger office was necessary in order to support the firm’s growing project load. Polytech created a series of test-fits for each space under consideration, identifying the 17th Floor at 235 Pine Street as the candidate that would provide the space needed currently, and would allow the firm to continue to grow its staff over the next ten years.

Polytech’s design staff developed the interior architecture and interior design program for the approximately 7,800 sf tenant improvement program.

1800 HARRISON STREET, REGIONAL OFFICESOAKLAND, CA

Polytech Associates was selected to provide the lobby redesign for a major healthcare provider’s regional offices as part of their effort to elevate security. The 600,000 sf, twenty-five story building located at 1800 Harrison Street in Oakland, CA includes four levels of parking.

Polytech was responsible for designing upgrades to elevator cars, a new bronze and granite lobby security console, and code survey. Specified materials are architecturally integrated, and keep with the timeless look of the building lobby. The stone floor surrounding the original security console was carefully removed and reused in the new configuration.

OUTPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC CENTER + POLICE ANNEXVA MENLO PARK CAMPUSMENLO PARK, CA

The 95-acre VA Menlo Park Campus is one of the VA’s largest campuses, specializing in providing mental health services, including long-term care and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs. The campus is home to a domiciliary that treats homeless and substance-dependent veterans with the goal of returning them to optimal independent living.

The domiciliary currently lacks sufficient space to accommodate the influx of inpatient and outpatient programs, as well as their growing staff. Polytech Associates is providing programming, architecture, and interior architecture services for the expansion of the facility. Offices will be expanded to include open and private spaces for nurses and physicians, additional conference areas, private consultation rooms, and examination rooms.

The new Emergency Annex will house the Police Department, and will include offices, conference/training areas, registration, and staff support spaces.
