ESCO enables better services in two basic steps:
a. Vocabulary and basic information, interlinked with other vocabularies;
b. Connects the data of applications

Vocabularies integrated in ESCO:
ISCED:Fields of Education and Training (FoET)
Use in ESCO: uses FoET to organise qualifications.
Vocabularies integrated in ESCO
International Standard Classification of Occupations 2008 (ISCO-08)
Use in ESCO:occupations in ESCO are mapped to the latest version of ISCO (ISCO-08)
ISCO-08 structure divides jobs into 10 major groups:
1-Managers
2-Professionals
3-Technicians and associate professionals
4-Clerical support workers
5-Service and sales workers
6-Skilled agricultural, forestry and fishery workers
7-Craft and related trades workers
8-Plant and machine operators, and assemblers
