Lemon Water & Goji Tea make them separate, or combine them!

Lemon Water: Start every morning with a glass of room temperature water with a generous squeeze of lemon. Use organic lemons. After squeezing your lemon juice into the water, toss the lemon peel right into the water. The compound D-limonene, found in the oil in the lemon peel, has been used to prevent and treat cancer in research animals. (Bennett & Barrie ND’s) Goji Water or Goji Tea Goji berries are a superfood that have been used for thousands of years as an immune system builder. Goji berries are so nutrient dense! That tiny red berry contains 18 amino acids (the building blocks of protein). They are packed with antioxidants, and over 20 vitamins, including vitamin C, zinc, riboflavin (B2) and iron. Goji berries also have a mild stimulant effect. So don’t drink your Goji Tea late into the evening. To make Goji Tea simply put 1-2 Tablespoons in 6-8 glasses of warm or room temperature water and let it steep. The water will turn a lovely shade of orange-red. Drink the water and eat the goji berries if you like them. Goji berry tea does not last more than a day unrefrigerated. If you haven’t finished your goji tea during the day, strain it and put it in the fridge. Add it to your green smoothie in the morning as an extra nutrient infusion! When goji tea starts to get cloudy it has started to go bad. If you make your goji tea the night before consuming it, please leave it in the fridge to ensure freshness.

Superfood Smoothie Your superfood smoothie is the perfect afternoon pick-me-up. It’s loaded with superfoods! The hemp and chia seeds give it lots of protein and healthy fats to keep you satisfied and full of energy.

1 cup water ½ banana ¼ cup mango ¼ cup raspberry or strawberry 1 Tablespoon chia seeds 1 Tablespoon hemp seeds 1 Tablespoon maca powder (optional – but good for hormone balancing and libido) 1 -2 Tablespoons Cacao (depending on how much of a chocolate lover you are and how sensitive you are to caffeine) Blend well.
