• Why it is necessary?

• In class we discussed many things which relates to the integration of Technology into the curriculum.

• First, we had to understand that the time in which we are living is quickly becoming over ride by the technology explosion. The business world demands that every one has at least a basic knowledge of technology.

• Properly used, technology will help students acquire the skills they need to survive in a complex, highly technological knowledge-based economy.

How should this be done?

• This can be accomplished by the teachers becoming coaches and the computers being tool.

• Effective technology integration is achieved when the use of technology is routine and transparent and when technology supports curricular goals.

Who all should be involve?

• For the integration of technology to be a success, the teachers must be involve.

• Therefore teachers should be trained to be effective users of the technologies.

• Some of the technologies involve spreadsheet, database, power point, Microsoft words, etc.

• Medias such as multimedia projectors, whiteboards, digital cameras, smart boards, Photo copiers, scanners, chat room, internet and many others.

• The administration must be involve as well. Of course, few school-based technology programs can succeed without the support and encouragement of school administrators.

What is expected?

• That there is technology standards for teachers and students.

• Professional educational organizations like the (NETS) National Educational Technology Standards and the (ISTE) international Society for Technology in Education provide this.

• That after successfully completing courses such as this one, teachers will integrate software programs into their lessons.

Teachers will use the internet to teach information literacy.

Teachers will use be able to effectively assess project based learning.

Teachers will be able to manage their classroom using technology.

Teachers will be able to effectively effect computer troubleshooting .

Teachers who are not technologically literate should get onboard and be professionally developed.
