DESCRIPTION

This is the second SPOT (short public online tutorial) on IMTA (Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture). It is the result of a workshop I was invited to do in Newry the IBIS 2nd shellfish Knowledge Transfer Workshop. For more information on other IMTA SPOTs please visit the main page. This second SPOT explain the beginnings of IMTA 5000 years ago in China, moves to Egypt and finishes in the Renaissance period. Throughout this period of time IMTA is explained without forgetting its food system aspect.
