integrated automation global presence mapp view
TRANSCRIPT
With mapp View, B&R now offers direct access to the wide world of web technology right from the engineering environment. For the first time, automation engineers have all the tools they need to create powerful and intuitive HMI solutions – and they don’t have to know HTML5, CSS and JavaScript to do it.
mapp View relies 100% on web standards to ensure content can be viewed optimally on any output device or even customized for specific users or user groups.

mapp View is built on the globally accepted web standards HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Unlike proprietary platforms, these standards are updated continually and remain usable for decades – ensuring maximum return on investment.
Modern web technology opens up exciting new possibilities for operating machinery and equip-ment. An efficient and intuitive user interface boosts productivity and reduces downtime.
With mapp View, automation engineers have all the tools they need to create powerful, intuitive, web-enabled HMI screens. There is no need to deal with the underlying web technology. This technology is encapsulated in widgets, which are simply dragged and dropped into place and configured.

mapp components
mapp View completely decouples the content from the layout and the HMI logic from the control logic. This reduces development time and ensures maximum reusability,
making mapp View the ideal solution for modular and flexible machine designs.
Data management for mapp View is based entirely on OPC UA, making it easy to incorporate 3rd-party data sources into the HMI application. This data can be viewed
locally on a Panel PC or remotely on any device with a standard web browser.
Different users need access to different content. mapp View allows you to implement role-based views without having to program them into the machine application. These custom screens can even be viewed on different devices simultaneously.
System operators need to have the right information at the right time, wherever they happen to be. Through web standards, mapp View ensures convenient access to machine and line data for users at
any level – giving them a clear overview of all their smart manufacturing processes.
