POWER ON/OFFPressthe”PWR”buttontoturnthemeteron,pressandholdfor2secondstoturnthemeteroff.

Whenthemeterispoweredon,theLCDdisplaystheWBGTmodeandthepreviouslyselected“IndoororOutdoor”WBGTmeasurementmode.Shortlyafter,abeepwillsoundandtheinstrumentwillbegintakingmeasurements.

MAX/MIN/AVGPressthe MAX/MIN buttontocyclethedisplaythroughtheMaximum,Minimum,AveragemeasurementsofAmbientTemperature,GlobalTemperatureandRelativeHumiditysincetheinstrumentwaspoweredon.

PressandholdtheMAX/MINbuttonuntil“CLr” appearsonthebottomofLCD.Theinstrumentwillautomaticallyreturntonormalmeasurementmodeoncethereadingshavecleared.

INDOOR/OUTDOOR Temperature MODE SELECTIONWheninthe WBGTmode,pressandholdtheUNITbuttontotogglebetweenindoororoutdoortemperature.Theinstrumentautomaticallycalculatesthemeasurementusingthefollowingparameters:

a. OutdoorformulaWBGT=0.7Tw(wetbulbtemp)+0.2Tg(globetemp)+0.1Td(airtemp.)

b. IndoorformulaWBGT=0.7Tw(wetbulbtemp)+0.3Tg(globetemp)

NOTE: Verify the meter is not displaying the MAX/MIN/AVG. If so, press the MAX/MIN button until the icons have disappeared.

FREEZE READINGPresstheHOLDbuttonundernormalmeasurementanda“HLD” icon appearsonthedisplaytoindicatethatthemeterisinDataHold.Whenthisfeatureisturnedon,theonlyfunctionalityavailableistheabilitytoswitch between units of pressure, temperature and scrolling through the temperature display modes“GT/WBGT/HI/DPT/WB”.

AUTO-POWER OFFThemeterwillautomaticallyturnoffwhennotinuseforaperiodof15minutes.TodisabletheautopowerofffunctionpresstheHOLD and PWR buttonsatthesametime.TheLCDwillmomentarilydisplay“n” indicating theauto-powerofffeatureisdisabled.

BACKLIGHT FUNCTIONPressandholdthe“BKLT”buttontoactivateorinactivatebacklightfunction.

a. PresstheSETbuttontosaveareading(Temp.RH).

b. TheRECiconshowswilldisplaynexttothetemperaturereadingandrecordnumbershowsonthebottomofLCDfor2seconds.

To recall recorded data:

a. PressandholdtheMODEbuttontoreviewmemoryTemperature,RHandrecordednumber.

b. KeeppressingtheHOLDbuttontoreviewnextdataorpressandholdtheBKLTbuttontoreviewthelaststoreddataentry.

c. PresstheMODEbuttontwice,toescapememoryfunction.d. Underdatarecallmode,pressandholdtheSETbuttontoclearthe

memory.LCDwillshow“---”.

WBGT AUDIBLE ALARM THRESHOLD SETTING(The default WBGT temperature alarm value is set at 31°)

a. PressandholdtheMODEbuttonfor2secondsandthemeterwillentermemoryrecallmode.

b. PressandholdMODEbuttonagaintoenterWBGTalarmmode.

c. PresstheHOLDbuttontoincreasethevalue,presstheUNITbuttontoselectthenextdigit.

d. PresstheBKLTbuttontodecreasethevalue,presstheUNITbuttontoselectthenextdigit.

e. Oncethealarmisselected,pressandholdtheMODEbuttontosavethevalueandreturntonormalmeasurementmode.

TURN ON/OFF ALARM FUNCTIONAftersettingupthethreshold,pressthePWRbuttonandthebelliconwilldisplayonthescreenindicatingthealarmisactivated.PressthePWR buttonagaintodisablealarmfunction.

GLOBAL TEMPERATURE/AMBIENT TEMPERATURE/HUMIDITY OFFSET FUNCTIONItisrecommendedthatthisunitbecalibratedonceayeartoensuremeasurementsstaywithinmanufacturer’sspecifications.Inthecasethatauserwouldliketoperformself-verificationwithatrustedcalibrationsourcethefollowingoffsetprocedureshavebeenprovided.

Toentertheoffsetmode:

a. PowerOFFthemeter.b. PressandholdtheMODE and BKLTbuttons.c. PressthePOWERbuttonuntilthescreenshowsall3parametersin

“0.0”,thenreleasetheMODE+BKLTbuttons.NOTE: To offset temperature in °F, hold MAX/MIN and press the POWER button to select °C or °F.
