First Look Vee Quiva Hotel Rooms
Recently, model hotel rooms, which are featured in this issue, were placed at the Wild Horse Pass Corporate Center. The rooms showcased some of the Community artwork and outstanding amenities included for every guest that checks-in at the new Vee Quiva Hotel & Casino. The rooms were met with rave reviews and are sure to be a hit when the new property opens. In addition to all the construction milestones, we are set to have our third job fair this month. The response has been great as we fill spots in the new food and beverage outlets that will open with Vee Quiva Hotel & Casino. We also have an outstanding line-up of new uniforms. The colors and styles are really fresh and they highlight the welcoming atmosphere that will make Vee Quiva Hotel & Casino a must see west valley attraction.
Sincerely,John J. James
Team Members,
The opening of Vee Quiva Hotel & Casino is just around the corner. Each day the construction crews continue progress on the project. The entrance way looks beyond incredible and the interiors are beginning to take form.
MESSAGE FROM THE CEO JOHN J. JAMES
In April, the Human Resources department completed a move to the Wild Horse Pass Corporate Center. The new offices include staffing and personnel offices only. EAP, Team Member Relations and Ovations HR were not included in the move. The new offices are located adjacent to the Tribal Gaming offices and are now open.

For those of you too young to
remember, the Summer of Love
was “a social phenomenon that occurred
during the summer of
1967, when as many as 100,000 people converged on the
Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco, thus initiating a major cultural and political
shift.” - Wikipedia. Here at Gila River Casinos, the Summer of Love simply refers to stepping up guest service during the months of May through September (when the snowbirds have flown and building relationships with year-round residents
becomes especially important). As you know, many of us spend more time with our guests
here than with family at home, which could be the basis of the Stephen Stills song from the
period that suggested: “...if you can’t be with the one you love, ‘Love The One You’re With’” - a
philosophy that many adopted then and still practice today. In short, every guest is unique
with their own story to tell. If you make a genuine effort to create guest advocates by delivering
exceptional experiences with genuine kindness and appreciation, you’re practically guaranteeing
a summer you’re going to love, too.

related illnesses stop the activity and notify EMT staff immediately.

Stanton at ext. 7332.
In April, schools from around the Gila River Indian Community took part in a baseball
skills clinic with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Kids arrived at Chase Field took batting lessons, caught flyballs and scooped up
grounders all under the coaching and supervision of D-backs training staff.
