    STD VI SAMPLE PRACTICAL EXAMINATION-NEW PATTERN

    Instructions: 1) Each question carries three marks.2) Each question has to be solved in 3 minutes.3) Write the answers in minimumwords required. Answering in complete sentence not expected. 4) Answer the questions in the appropriate place provided for it.5) Donot touch the specimen unless required.6) Even though you start from any question attend all 10 question in rotation.7) Get the doubtssolved before the time to answer the question starts.8)Do not draw diagrams unless asked.

    7. Without using any measuring scale find out the length of the object.

    8. Measure the oscillations of the pendulum per minute using the given instrument.

    9. Bounce the given balls from a same height. Which ball bouncing more? State the reason.

    10. Identify the most and least powerful magnet.

    11. Identify the lever used in the machine.

    12. Identify the energy conversion in the working of the toy.

    13. Which of the following objects can be used to produce biogas? (Specimen Plastic flowers, paper flowers, real flowers)

    14. Observe the given specimen and identify the labeled parts ( Parts of digestive system of a rat)

    15. Form appropriate food chains using the correct animals. Each chain must contain at least three animals.

    16. Observe the given specimen. Find out the average number of plants per unit (Total number of plants/number of units of thecontainer).

    17. Observe the given table and answer the questions.( Ex. Table of vaccination for a newborn and questions based on it)

    18. Observe the given specimens and fill in the blanks .( samples of Shark and Bangda and questions based on their structure likesize of scales, position of mouth, shape of tail etc.)

    19. Observe the samples of fruits, flowers, stems, leaves and answer the questions or match the columns.

    20. Draw a simple diagram of the given specimen and label the . ( Fins of fish, calyx of hibiscus, spines of Opuntia etc)
