1.GENERALINSTRUCTIONSFORSAFEWORK

• ThecontentsoftheINSTRUCTIONSforinstallationandassemblymustbefollowedcarefully,otherwisewarrantyclaimscannotbeasserted.Thetankmustbeinspectedpriortoinstallationandverifiedwhetherithasbeenmanufacturedinaccordancewithyourrequirements.Theinstructions,whichareattachedtothebottomofthelid,mustberemoved,togetherwiththebagandclips.

• Installationshallbecarriedoutbyaprofessionalcompanywithqualifiedexperts,whoarefamiliarwiththeinstallationinstructions.

• Followtheinstructionsforsafeworkwhenexecutingtheworks;anotherpersonmustbepresenttoprotectyou,especiallywhenmanipulatingandinstallingthetank.

• Thelidofthetankmustbekeptclosedatalltimestopreventthepossibilityofanaccident.

• The tank shall be installed only into previously prepared construction pits and backfilled according to the manufacturer’sinstructions.

• Placingthetankoutintheopenisforbidden.

• Thechoiceoflidtypedependsontheorderandthebuyer’swishes.

• Onlythoseadditionalelementsthathavebeenspecifiedandauthorisedbythemanufacturerofthetankcanbefittedontothetank. Intheeventof the installationofunsuitableelements, themanufacturercannotguaranteeproperoperation;hence, thebuyercannotassertthewarrantyrights.

• Theimagescontainedintheinstructionsforinstallationandmaintenancearemerelyillustrative.

2.AQUAstayTANK

TheAQUAstaytankhasbeenmanufacturedbyrotationalmouldinginthreestandardversions(L,XLandXXL).Thedimensionsofexternalclearancesareshowninthetablebelow.

3.INSTALLATIONOFTANK

3.1. PREPARATIONOFTANK

Allthebasicversionsoftanksincludeacustom-madewateroutlet.Usingasuitabledoubleconnectororreducingconnectoryoucanconnecttheoutletstothedesiredspot.Beforeloweringitintotheconstructionpit,thetankmustbeinspectedtomakesureitwasnotdamagedduringtransportandwhetheritappearsflawlessontheoutside.

3.1.1. AssemblyofFittings

Thetank’sentryfittingsdifferandareadaptedtoyourrequirements.Youmustchooseasuitablepipeandtheappropriateentryseal.Theinstallationofthesealandtheexecutionofasuitableopeningmustbecarriedoutbyaqualifiedindividualwiththetoolssuitableforsuchatask(aholesaw,ascraper,afood-gradelubricantetc.)

3.2. EXCAVATIONOFACONSTRUCTIONPIT

NOTE:maximumdepthoftankentrenchmentamountstoh+500mm.Theconstructionpitmustbeexcavatedatamin.angleof15º.

3.3. MAKINGANDPREPARINGTHEBEDDING

Thebodyofthetankmustbeplacedontopofsuitablebedding.Thelattermustbesolidandcompact.Appropriatebackfillmaterialmustbeused.Whenusinggranularmaterial,thepermissiblegrainsizeisfrom0to32mmorfrom0to16mmwhenusingcrushedmaterial.Donotusefrozenmaterial.Suitablebeddingthicknessisfrom20to30cmandmustbecompressedto97%Proctorcompaction.Whengroundwaterispresent,thebeddingmustbemadeoutofMB15leanconcrete.

3.4. BACKFILLINGANDPLACEMENTOFTANK

Backfillingthebodyofthetankrequirestheuseofappropriatebackfillmaterial(thesameaswasusedformakingthebedding)andtheproperexecutionofbackfilling.Thebackfillmaterialhastobeconsolidatedandcompressedcarefullyandinlayers(upto30cminheight)to97%Proctorcompactionoveraminimumwidthof50cmfromthewallofthetank.Simultaneouslywithbackfillingthebodyofthetank,watermustbepouredinto the tank itself, so that the level of the backfill material equals the water level in the container.When backfilling, pay specialattentiontothespaceonthebottom.Usingmanualaids,fillinandconsolidatetheentireemptyspace,thuspreventingpotentialsubsequentdeformationofthebottom.

When backfilling the PE container, make sure that heavy construction machinery does not drive over the body or in the area ofbackfilling.

3.5. ASSEMBLYOFTHETANKINTHEEVENTOFGROUNDWATER

Intheeventthatgroundwaterispresentthroughouttheentireheightofthetank,thebodyofthetankmustbeencasedin30cmthickconcrete,uptotheheightofthemaximumgroundwaterlevelorminimallytotheheightof70cm.Wiremeshandanadditionalwirerodareinsertedintothefoundationslabinordertoattachagalvanisedfasteningsteeltape.ThefasteningtapeisfixedinplacewiththreeM8x40stainlessscrews.Thefasteningtapemayenclosethebodyofthetankandmustnotbesubjectedtoatensileforcethatwoulddeformtheshapeofthebodyofthetank.

Thetankhasafactory-installedwalkablePElidwithseal,whichcanbereplacedwithacast-ironlidattherequestofthebuyer.Priortoanyassemblyofthelid,thesealofthelidmustbecleanedandlubricatedwithafood-gradelubricant.Inthecaseofalidwithaseal,asafeguardcanbeorderedasanextra,whichprotectsthelidfrombeingopened.Thisisespeciallyimportantwhenchildrenorunder-agepersonsareinthevicinityofthetank.Thedecisionofchoosingalidwithasafeguardismadebythebuyer;henceintheeventofanaccident,thesellerandmanufacturershallnotbeheldliableforpotentialconsequencesifalidwithoutasafeguardhasbeenchosen.

4.ASSEMBLYOFTHELIDANDFINISHINGWORKS

Afterthebackfillingofthetankisfinished,theheightofthemanholehastobeadjustedtothesurroundingterrainbycuttingtheringofthetank.Factory-madetags,whichallowhorizontalcutting,havebeenmadeforthispurpose.Thetankcanbemadehigher,butthetotalheightofthereservoirmustnotexceedh+500mm.
