Donor Center Data Reporting Module 1Understanding DAR

Hello and welcome to the first module of our donor center data reporting series. This series of trainings is geared toward our network contracted and operated donor center leadership to help them understand the different donor management reports available for tracking center and staff performance.

This session will focus on the DAR system.2Objectives3

First, lets take a look at our objectives. At the end of todays session, 3DAR4

What is DAR? DAR stands for Donor Activity Reimbursement, and is the finance system we used to pay our contracted DCs.

DAR was created to track each and every fee for service activity along donor management process for example, HR appointments, CT requests, information sessions, completed collections and cancellations. 4DAR5

What is tracked in DAR DAR only includes data reported to finance (no donor identifying information). DAR tracks key performance indicators that are used in the tracking of financial data, activities like donor availability, the timeframes DCs take to resolve requests, like the CT in 7 Days metric, and request to WU clearance date.

Most activity payments are triggered by dates entered into STAR Link or Forms Net to bill the transplant center and pay out to the DCs.

DAR tracks the pay history for each center.

DAR does include some basic donor information like broad race, age and gender data points that are key to our availability measures.

Data for a month in DAR never changes, so the published DAR reports are like a time stamp of that month. DAR reports are published each month, typically around the 15th. And any adjustments that need to made will come out of the next months activity. That means, if an activity like a CT appointment is listed in STAR Link for June 30, but is rescheduled for July 2 the CT will be counted in June, and an adjustment would be made to remove and recount that appointment in July. Its also important to note that DAR counts data when an activity is fulfilled by the donor center DCs get paid for PBSC collections in the month the collection happened, not when they were requested.

WHow do I find DAR Reports?Network website (My Center)There are a certain set of DAR reports that can be ordered from your Donor Center Liaison, we have created a DC DAR Reports Summary to let you understand which additional reports are available from your DC.

Now that youve learned about our DAR system, its time for you to practice. There are three activities to complete with this module. The Quiz show, a worksheet that allows our DC staff to create their own plan for how to incorporate the DAR reports into their regular operational reporting, and a quick post-assessment survey. Links to all of these activities are available on the Donor Center Educataion tab with the rest of the DC data reporting modules.
