Bloom’s Taxonomical Level
• In order to facilitate the learning process, the levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy will be employed to guide the learner from the basic concepts of reading automaticity, fluency & the response-to-intervention process. Each process requires a higher level of cognitive processing.
Instructional Theory : Bloom’s Taxonomy
Cognitive Level
Knowledge (Define)•Theoretical Knowledge of Reading Fluency: Automaticity & Working Memory•Baseline, Probes, Progress monitoring•Calculation of Reading Rate
Cognitive Level
Comprehension• Describe the relationship between fluency & working memory•Explain the process of baseline data, probes, & progress monitoring.
Cognitive Level
Analysis•Select research based interventions•Analyze the data, based upon trend line & decisional points
Cognitive Level
Application•Calculate reading rate•Create a chart in Excel of baseline data, data points, trend line & goal line.
Cognitive Level
Synthesis•Integrate intervention measures to create a tailored plan for students.•Generate hypothesis
Cognitive Level
Evaluation•Determine the efficacy of interventional measures, based upon trend line &
decisional points
