The name summit connotes they’re at the top of the industry. The bright colours stand out as the background is dark. The bright colours represent happiness. The reason why the background is black is so the audience keep their focus on the logo. As Summit is a fairly new company there has

not been many changes regarding the logos, the logo above was the original logo but over the years the company developed it and decided to change the colours & slightly change the look of the outline of what looks to be a mountain.

Summit entertainment has distributed or co produced many films which have been fairly successful in the short existence of the company - Twlight, Sex Drive, American pie, Mr & Mrs Smith and Step Up.
