Outstanding Faculty A few members of our faculty were recognized and honored this year as well.

Dr. Laura Ikuma - Awarded the 2015 Dean’s Instructor of Excellence Award

This award is presented to full-time College of Engineering faculty members at the assistant professor rank or higher who have demonstrated teaching excellence in undergraduate courses. The recipients are chosen by a panel of their peers. This is the first year the award has been presented and we are extremely proud of Dr. Ikuma’s accomplishment.

Dr. Craig Harvey - Received the 2015 Tiger Athletic Foundation Michael R. Mangham College of Engineering Memorial Undergraduate Teaching Award

In celebration of the life of the former chairman of the Tiger Athletic Foundation and LSU football player, Michael Ray "Mickey" Mangham, the Tiger Athletic Foundation has created this award in his honor to recognize College of Engineering professors for demonstrating excellence in instruction.

Welcome to our Newest Faculty Member! This year the LSU Industrial Engineering department hired Dr. Hyun Woo Jeon from Penn State University who will be joining our faculty this Fall teaching IE 4530 - Lean Systems. Dr. Jeon recently graduated from Penn State University with his doctorate in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. His resume can be found here.
