PHILOSOPHY/MISSION STATEMENT
Our multi-facetted academic offer enables us to find a fitting school programme for
each of our pupils, to encourage and promote them in accordance with their talent
structure, and to prepare them for studying at university. Next to the academic
education, however, we consider tolerance, discipline, strength of character, and good
manners among the intrinsic values making up a fine personality.
„Learning to live is the final purpose of every education.“ – these words by the famous
Swiss pedagogue, Heinrich Pestalozzi, were adopted as a motto by the Rosenberg
founder in 1889.
SPORTS/LEISURE TIME ORGANISED
During their free time, including the weekends, our boarders are given age-appropriate
care. In winter the obvious sports will be skiing, snowboarding, ice-skating etc. while in
summer tennis, golf, and water-skiing are most popular; for all-year sports we offer
football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, and swimming.
ACCOMMODATION
The Institut auf dem Rosenberg offers tasteful, well-kept single and double rooms,
some of them with en-suite facilities.
THAT SPECIAL TOUCH
The Institut auf dem Rosenberg is famous, among other things, for its annual
Rosenberg Ball, a traditional event for parents and invited guests, for whom the pupils
prepare a special project (with professional assistance) of dance and acrobatic
performances.
ADMISSION
We shall look into the possibility of admitting a candidate when we are sent all of the
following documents:
• completed application forms
• report cards of the last three school years
• a teacher’s recommendation
• personal statement by candidates describing their motivations, plans and goals for
their future
• photocopy of candidate's passport
On the basis of these documents and of the placement test that the candidates from
Grade 6 have to sit, the school management will decide about a candidate's admission
or non-admission.
