The mains supply to dimmer must be protected by a type ‘B’ or ‘C’ MCB with rating not higher than 10A. Before starting the appliance, make sure that all connections are as per the instructions, the cables are not stressed and the terminals are fully tightened. To prevent fire hazard, do not exceed the rated load specified for the appliance. Note: 1. Overload is indicated by the ring indicator ashing once every 3 seconds.2. The Electronic Dimmer will resume normal operation once the overload is removed, by switching o and on.

Soft start operation

When the Electronic Dimmer is switched on, light levels gradually reach the desired level over a period of 1 to 3 seconds, greatly extending life expectancy of lamps by avoiding initial power surge.

Overload protection

If the Electronic Dimmer is overloaded input to lamp(s) will be reduced (or switched o if overload is severe) to protect the device and the installation.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Please clean the device with a dry and soft lint free cloth. Do not use water or any abrasive solvent based or aerosol cleaners as this may damage, discolor or aect the nish and safety of the appliance.

Features Power failure recovery

In case of power failure, the dimmer will restore to its previous state upon power restoration.

Minimum brightness adjustment

The User can adjust the minimum brightness level to suit their environment and ensure optimum lamp performance. See User Guide for programming details.

Unable to t frontplates to modulePlease check if you are tting the correct frontplate to the correct module. The frontplate must match the module exactly, e.g. 1 Gang Electronic Dimmer Frontplate will only t a 1 Gang Electronic Dimmer Module. Please refer to the instructions for tting and removing frontplates on page-3.

Connected Lamp does not turn ON or DIMFirstly check the lamps have not expired.

Check connections and wiring to the device to ensure it has been installed correctly.

Check the circuit, by inspecting other devices on the same circuit, to ensure there is power input to the device.

Ring indicator ashes once every 3 secondsThis is indication of an overload. The Electronic Dimmer will resume normal operation once the overload is removed, by switching o and on.If you are facing a problem not listed here, please contact the MK technical team. (Contact details are listed on the last page)

Notes:1. Do not use loads of dierent types on the same circuit.2. Not suitable for use with any other load type.3. *Neutral connection is required. It is recommended to connect neutral whenever possible to extend the load handling capability of the dimmer.
