Installing SAP Business Objects 4X SP2 with Oracle 11gPre Installation Steps
1. Installing .NET 3.5 SP1
Login to server: <Server> using service account: <service_account>
Open up “Server Manager”
Double click on “Features” in the left panel:
Click on “Add Features” :
On the pop-up, check the “.NET Framework 3.5.1″
If this is not already installed, follow the process to acknowledge the license agreement
and eventual finish installation.
In this case it is already there:
Installation
Run “C:BOE451041015DATA_UNITSBusinessObjectsServer_winsetup.exe
This takes about 10 minutes to extract.
Next go to C:BO451047190DATA_UNITSBusinessObjectsServer_win click setup.exe
Select the setup language as ‘English’ and click ‘OK’.
Make sure all the Prerequisites are successful and click ‘Next’.
Click ‘Next’.
Click next
Accept the License Agreement and click ‘Next’.
Enter in the license key: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Select English, click ‘Next’.
Select Full and click ‘Next’.
Enter in ‘E:SAP BusinessObjects’ and click ‘Next’.
Select Configure an existing database and click ‘Next’. We want to install an Oracle
database.
Select Oracle for the CMC and click ‘Next’.
Select Oracle for the Auditing database and click ‘Next’.
Select to Install the default Tomcat and click ‘Next’.
Select Configure and Install Subversion and click ‘Next’.
Keep the CMS default Port 6400 and click ‘Next’.
Enter in a Administrator Password and a Cluster Key and click ‘Next’.
Enter in the prebuilt Oracle information for CMS Database and click ‘Next’
Note: This should have been provided by your database administrator prior to the
installation.
Enter in the prebuilt Oracle information for Auditor Database and click ‘Next’
Note: This should have been provided by your database administrator prior to the
installation.
Keep the default Tomcat Ports and click ‘Next’.
Keep the default HTTP Listening Ports and click ‘Next’.
Keep the default Repository Port 3690 and set a repository password and click ‘Next’.
Select Do not configure connectivity to SMD Agent and click ‘Next’.
Select Do not configure Introscope Enterprise Manager and click ‘Next’.
Click Next to begin installation
This takes about 45-60 minutes to complete. Once this completes the Post Installation
Steps need to be
Complete.
Once complete click ‘Next’.
Finish off the installation by clicking the ‘Finish’ button.
Next Open up your browser and go to url http:// bsoaaso01.dcri.int:8080/BOE/CMC and
log in with account
Username:administrator
Password:xxxxxx
The system configuration wizard will automatically launch
Click ‘Next’.
To install all the servers click ‘Next’.
Select the size of your deployment and click ‘Next’.
This displays the Specific location of the folders, click ‘Next’.
Review and if you’re happy with the products that will be installed click ‘Apply’.
Click ‘Apply’.
Click the ‘Close’ to complete the installation.
