Installing Outlook on Employee Owned iOS Devices

The following will give you step-by-step instructions for installing the Outlook app on your employee

owned device.

Prerequisites:

• In compliance with IPSec-035, you will be required to have a 6 digit passcode on your device. The passcode will need to be updated every 60 days. OA/OIT will not have access to your personal information, apps, or location, but will have the ability to help in resetting your device passcode.

• If you have not set up your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) security questions and PIN, you will need to do so prior to installing Outlook. Please contact your agency’s IT Help Desk.

Installing Outlook App

1. On your phone/iPad click on the App Store icon

2. Click the “Magnifying Glass” icon in the bottom and type “Airwatch Agent” in your search.

3. Click Get and then click Install.

4. You may be prompted for your Apple ID password depending how your device is configured. If

prompted, type in your password and the device should install.

5. Once the device has been installed open the app from your home screen.

6. Click on Server Details.

7. In the next screen type, in dsemms.pa.gov in the Server section. The Group ID section will be

provided to you by the OA Telecom team. Type in the provided Group ID and Click Next.

8. At the Authenticate screen, type in your CWOPA username and password. The same account

you would use to log in to your commonwealth PC. Click Next at the top right.

9. At the Secure screen, wait until the Install Profile screen appears.

10. Click Install in the top right corner to install the profile.

11. If you have a lock screen passcode on the device, you will see the following screen. Type in your

device passcode. If you are not prompted for a passcode, proceed to step 12. (You will set up a

passcode in step 18.)

13. Click Install.

14. Click Trust.

15. Click Done.

16. Click Open.

17. When you see the following screen, you can click the home button to leave the app.

18. If you do not have a device passcode on your device you will be prompted to do so when you

return to your home screen. Click Continue when you see the Passcode Requirement Pop-up.

19. Type in your desired 6-digit passcode. Click Continue as shown in Figure A. Reenter your

selected passcode click Save as shown in Figure B.

20. Click on the Catalog app.

21. Click on Install next to the Microsoft Outlook app.

22. Click Install in the Confirm Installation window.

23. Click Install.

24. Once the Outlook app has finished installing, click on it to open it.

25. Click Get Started.

26. If you prefer the app to push notifications, Click Notify Me. If you prefer to not receive

notifications, click No Thanks.

27. If you chose to have notifications pushed to your device click Allow, if not please proceed to

step 28.

28. Type in your CWOPA email address and click Add Account.

29. If you encounter any issues with steps (29-33), your Risk Based Multi Factor Authentication

security questions and/or passcode, you will need to contact the Help Desk at (717)783-1087

for assistance.

Type in your CWOPA ID and Password. The same account that you would use to log in to your

commonwealth PC. Click LOGIN.

30. Click Submit.

31. Answer your two security questions and click Continue.

32. Select Private device and click Continue.

33. Enter your Security Pin and click Submit.

34. When prompted to add another account, click Maybe Later.

35. Please read the message about the Focused Inbox and click the to learn about the calendar.

Focused Inbox

Focused inbox will sort your emails into two groups; focused and other. Emails that are sent directly to

you are placed into your Focused inbox. All other emails, such as those where you may be a part of a

distribution list, will be placed into your Other inbox.

To keep the Focused inbox, proceed to the instructions for adding your signature. If you would prefer to

switch it off and use a single inbox view, please proceed to the next page.

Removing Focused Inbox

1. Click on Settings in the bottom right of your mailbox.

2. Scroll down until you see a toggle for Focused View. Click the toggle so it is no longer blue. You

have now turned off the Focused view.

Changing Your Signature

1. The default email signature in the Outlook app is Get Outlook for iOS. If you want to change

your signature, click on the Settings icon and click then click Signature.

2. Type your signature in the Signature field. Click the < icon.
