Step 4Attach the main runners to the hangers. In each row, trim the main tee so that thecrosstee slot will line up with the crossteestring. Mount main tees, resting the cut endof the main tee on the wall angle. The cutend of the main runner should be about5mm away from the wall.

Step 5 Install cross tees, assuring that theyare adequately connected to main tees(they "click" in place when properlyseated).Where two cross tees intersect in the sameslot, insert second crosstee end to the leftof the first. Where a crosstee is installedwithout an opposing crosstee, a nail shouldbe slipped into the opening of the crossteeclip to maintain the pullout value for thecrosstee.

Step 6Lay in panels, beginning at one corner andcompleting row by row. Tilt each panel up through the opening andlower it to rest squarely on all four tees.

Step 7 Removal as easy as installation.Just grasp the main tee with one thumbunder the main teecross tee connectionand, pushing up with the thumb, give themain tee a quick, short twist. Thats all ittakes no tools needed. The strong clipmeans that the grid can be reinstalledstraightaway with no tearing or bendingof the clip.

    Step 8Main tee demounting

Using a straight shearing motion, push withyour left hand and pull with your right handto disconnect the main runner splice. Note:do not twist the splice during the removalprocedure.

Step 3To confirm level, stretch a string untiltaut along the positions which the maintee will occupy.Inserting a nail between the wall and the wallangle at marked locations serves as a goodanchor for this purpose. Stretch another stringacross the room where the first row of crosstees will be located. This identifies where thefirst prepunched slots need to fall. Check tobe sure the cross tee string is at 90 to themain tee string via the 345 method. Installthe hangers at 1200mm o.c. above the linesof the main runners. Fix to the structureabove using appropriate plugs, screws orother devices.

A Cut tees with aviation snips, firstthe stem and then the flanges.

B Cut mineral fibre panels with utilityknife and straight edge, cuttingthe face first. Cut panels shouldbe at least 15mm larger than theopening.

C To install panels aroundobstructions, draw their exactlocations on the panels and cutout. Then cut the panel in twoparts through the largest section ofthe cutout to enable fitting.

D To trim for Shadowline edge, usea utility knife to cut the panel, firstat the face, then from the edge, tothe same depth as Shadowline. If windows, stairwells, etc., extendabove the ceiling plane, buildsuitable valances and attach wallangle.
