Installing a CSPC ISO in a Microsoft Hyper-V Environment

This documentation presents the installation steps to install your CSPC ISO file on a Windows OS virtual machine using a Microsoft Hyper-V environment running on a Windows Server 2012 system.

    Introduction

This deployment allows a managed service provider to use virtualization as a software package tool. This configuration suggests regular backups of the hardware in an event of a hardware failure, as well as enforcement with change control policies and communications to customers on maintenance on the CSPC.

Note: It is important to note that:

    ◦ You set the correct order for boot devices (IDE) within the virtual machine, otherwise the installation process repeats.

    ◦ You prepare yourself for the first boot-up to take some time, given that the virtual machine must properly format itself on the initial startup.

    Procedure

    ISO Download

Step 1. Download the .ISO virtual machine file from Cisco.com. You must have the proper Cisco CCO credentials to download the file.
