INSTALLATION PROCEDURES 1. Do not provide electrical power to the system until ALL connections have been made. 2. Each linear fixture utilizes two mounting stems. One stem is used for providing power and support to the fixture. The other stem provides support only. (Figure 1) 3. Refer to linear fixture drawing and chart (Figure 2) to determine stem mounting hole distances based upon fixture length. Fixture can be field cut if shorter length is needed. See attached cutting instruction sheet. 4. Drill mounting holes as shown. Refer to the dimensions to ensure proper fixture clearance from case walls. (Figure 3) 5. Secure stems to case mounting surface using supplied lock washers and nuts. If a slight adjustment is required to attach stems to fixture, there is a movable insert on the threaded support side of the linear fixture. This will provide up to 1/8" adjustment. Install fixture onto stems by pushing the electrical side onto stem, and by screwing threaded stem into fixture with a clockwise motion. (Figure 4) NOTE: if you are installing fixture into a case with a top already in place, ensure you have at least 1/2" clearance between final fixture height and case inside top. This will allow fixture to clear mounting stems for final attachment. 6. Connect cord from electrical stem to power supply utilizing the supplied connector. (Figure 5) 7. The system is now ready to be energized IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: • Read all the instructions before installation. Save instructions for later use. • Turn off power at fuse or circuit breaker box before installation or before doing any maintenance work. • Do not exceed the nominal supply voltage or amperage rating. Do not install any lampholder closer than 6" from any curtain or similar combustible material. Warning: Risk of burns. Lamps are extremely hot when lit. Allow lamps to cool down in temperature before handling. • Product must be mounted in locations and at heights and in a manner consistent with its intended use, and in compliance with National Electrical Code and local codes. Use of accessory equipment is not recommended. • Installing contrary to instructions may cause unsafe conditions. Warning: Risk of fire. Most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wire rated at 60°C. Consult a qualified electrician before installation. • To avoid hazards to children, account for all parts and properly dispose of all packing materials. • Call the Technical Support department at ConTech Lighting with any installation questions: 847.559.5500.
