If the power supply is mounted on metal surface, make sure it is grounded to the metal frame. All metal parts of the box must be grounded to the point of power connection in accordance with local electrical codes and other ordinances. Wire the power supply to a standard three-wire grounded power source. Use output leads #18 AWG or heavier to wire the LED fixture. For best results, keep the leads as short as possible. The maximum length between the power supply and the first LED fixture must be no longer than 3 meters or 10 feet. Firmly secure the LED fixture base to a flat metal surface. Connect the positive lead wire of the LED fixture to the positive (+) terminal of the power supply. Attach the negative terminal of the LED fixture to the negative (-) terminal of the power supply. Connect the purple and grey wires from the Power Supply to the Dimmer Terminal Block as shown above (no polarity). The power supply generates heat during normal operation and it is necessary to allow heat to dissipate. It is recommended they are mounted with as much of their surface in direct contact with other metal surfaces as possible. • The dimmer can be used to control dimming from 1 to 5 LED fixtures. The LED power supply has output short circuit protection with auto-restart feature. A short circuit at the output will shut down the unit. In fault condition mode, the supply will attempt to restart periodically and once the fault condition disappears, it will resume normal operation. Overload operation normally results in power supply shutdown. The power supply and the LED fixture may go OFF and ON periodically.
