Introduction
• Beforeinstallingthesystem,readtheinstructionscompletely.
• DonotusethePowerMasterASWforanyapplicationnotlistedinthismanual.
• Supplytheenduserwithinstructionsforusingthissystem.
General Information
Toensureagoodoperationoftheseautomaticdevices,thegateshouldmeetthefollowingrequirements:
• Goodstrengthandstiffness.
• Hingesshouldhaveaminimumbacklashandallowforsmoothandregularmanualoperations.
• Whenclosed,thegateleavesshouldcorrectlyoverlapfortheirentireheight.
How to Install the Automatic System
Calculatetheheightofthesystemfromtheground(Itisadvisabletodefineapositionascenteredaspossiblewithrespecttothemaingateandincorrespondencewithastrongcrossgirder).WeldtheplatePfollowingmeasuresinFigure 1.
Withthegateclosed,weldbracketStoacrossbeamofthemaingateorotherelementwithequalstrength,accordingtomeasuresshowninFigure 1.Keepinmindthatwhencarryingoutthisoperation,theactuatorshouldnotbetotallyinastrokeendposition.
RemovecoverCbylooseningscrewF.ThenfixtheactuatortoplatePbymeansofscrewTandnutD(Figure 2).LocktheactuatortoplateSbymeansofscrewVandwasherR.
Theholesintheactuator(Figures 1a&1b)helptokeeptotheoptimuminstallationmeasures.
How to Adjust the Mechanical Stoppers
Theactuatorisprovidedwithadjustablemechanicalstopsintheopeningandclosingpositions.ThesystemisadjustedbysuitablypositioningtheOpenandClosemechanicallocks,asshowninFigure 3:
1. Unlocktheautomaticsystembyusingthespecialreleaselever,asshownintheinstructionsfortheuser.
2. Closethegateleaf.
3. LoosenscrewsV1andmovetheCloselockuntilitreachespivotP,thentightenscrewsV2.
4. Resettheautomaticoperatingmode.ThePowerMasterASWhastwolimitmicro-switchesfixedtothemechanicalstops.
5. Themicro-switchestriggerslightlyinadvancewithrespecttothemechanicalstop.
Connections
1. ThespecialplateP(Figure 4)allowsforusingalinkforsheathorcablegland.Oncethetypeofcableglandisappliedtotheplate,fixthelattertotheadaptorcoverbymeansofscrewsV.
2. CarryoutthewiringbyreferringtothewirediagramshowninFigure 5.
3. ItismandatorytoprovideforgroundbyusingtheGNDTerminal.

Manual and Emergency OperationIntheeventofpowerfailureorfault,manuallyopenandclosethedoor/gatewiththefollowingprocedure:1. Opentheprotectiondoorofthereleasedevice
(FigureA).2. Introducethespecialreleasekeysuppliedand
turnitby90degrees,asshownbythearrowontheremovablecoverhighlightedinFigureB.
3. Nowthedoorcanbeopened/closedbyhand.4. Toresettheautomaticoperation,movethe
releasekeytotheinitialposition.5. Removethereleaseleverandclosethe
protectiondoor.
Maintenance• Everymonth,checkthegoodoperationofthe
emergencymanualrelease.• Itismandatorynottocarryoutextraordinary
maintenanceorrepairsasaccidentsmaybecaused.Theseoperationsmustbecarriedoutbyqualifiedpersonnelonly.
• Theoperatorismaintenancefree,butitisnecessarytocheckperiodicallyifthesafetydevicesandtheothercomponentsofautomationsystemworkproperly.Wearandtearofsomecomponentscouldcausedangers.
Waste DisposalAsindicatedbythesymbolshown,itisforbiddentodisposethisproductasnormalurbanwasteassomepartsmightbeharmfulforenvironmentandhumanhealth,iftheyaredisposedofincorrectly.Therefore,thedeviceshouldbedisposedinspecialcollectionplatformsorgivenbacktotheresellerifanewandsimilardeviceispurchased.Anincorrectdisposalofthedevicewillresultinfinesappliedtotheuser,asprovidedforbyregulationsinforce.
ASW END USER GUIDE
PowerMaster warrants all door operators to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from date of purchase. If any part is found to be defective during this period, new parts will be furnished free of charge. Failure of this product due to misuse, improper installation, alterations, vandalism, or lack of maintenance is not covered under this warranty, and voids any other implied warranties herein.
PowerMaster is not responsible for any labor charges incurred in connection with the installation of warranted parts.
In order to activate this warranty, the registration form below MUST be completed and returned within THIRTY CALENDAR DAYS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE via certified mail, fax (631-231-4274) or via email to [email protected]. If registration is not activated, a one-year warranty will apply.
